Couple picks 48 and 45 in prison for torturing and abusing daughters

A couple living in the city of Vacaria, in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul, in southern Brazil, was sentenced by the Court to more than 40 years after it is satisfied that the man sexually abused the daughters of women for many years with her consent.

The rapist was sentenced to 48 years and five months in prison, and his wife, the mother of the victims, 45 years and five months.

According to Inspector Anderson Silveira de Lima, who led the investigation that led to the arrest of the couple, the stepfather, 35, began violating the daughters of the companion, the result of a previous relationship, when the girls had about five years.

Today, with 16 and 18 years, continued to be routinely subjected to sexual abuse until shortly before the couple's arrest on 18 April.

The two defendants were arrested in another town in the region, Monte Alegre dos Campos, when they were in the car Step Chapel.

Agents of the Police Protection of Children and Adolescents of Vacaria arrived by surprise, surrounded the whole place and arrested the couple.

Also according to court documents, the girls' mother, 45 years, not only knew of the abuse as consented and encouraged her new husband to commit them.

Besides fear of being beaten sexually inside the house, the victims were subjected to painful sessions of torture and beatings, including with chains of tractor, much to the satisfaction of sadism mother and stepfather as to keep them subjugated by fear and avoid denounce abuses.
