Well, no-one can pretend Bennett's disgusting allegations have not been roundly denied; I do hope all the people repeating them, and inventing ever more lurid 'theories', take note of that fact.

They don't have much idea of The Law, do they. Edward Smethurst doesn't have to make a statement about anything.

Some of them seem to think that if they own nothing then they can't be made to pay. WRONG. I can think of several ways, like Prison for non payment of a Fine. And that's just for starters.

They've had all the statements they are going to get - from Carter Ruck. And don't forget, the possible criminal charges for harrassment haven't gone away.

So, on the 4th of August, Carter Ruck thinks Bennett is on holiday and cannot do anything about the filth and libel in that thread on Hellhole?
