There's stupid - and then there is Stella
This, from one of Bennett's 'top researchers', beggars belief:
José de Freitas - Scotland Yard officer
Stella Today
When Goncalo Amaral went to court, he asked for José de Freitas of Scotland Yard, to give evidence on his behalf.
Allegedly, José de Freitas refused, on the grounds of being bound by state secrecy.
Perhaps now would be a good time for Goncalo Amaral to write to DCI Andy Redwood, with what he knows about José de Freitas, as they are now 'bound' by our laws to investigate this
Oh, no need for Gonc to waste the price of a stamp, dear - all he needs to do is read this:
http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1989/6/contents
The OFFICIAL SECRETS ACT applies to a great many public servants.
Including police officers.
Mind you, if Gonc is too thick to know that police officers in the UK aren't allowed by law to mouth off, then what does that say for his grasp on reality?
So no, New Scotland Yard will NOT be 'investigating' this; they are bound by the same Act.

I know, Maggs, stunning, isn't it? They really think there is something sinister about a UK police officer NOT mouthing off to support Gonc's tall stories and tales of how hard done by he is

And if you remember of what fools the rest of them made of themselves, then Officer de Freitas might be quite pleased about that.
Did Gonc seriously believe that a British Police Officer would appear in Court on his behalf just because he was of Portuguese origin?
Personally, I would like to know what Portuguese Police Officers were doing there. Is this how they run their Judicial System? Can any old Police Officer just up and testify on behalf of a Convicted Criminal?
