So, why has Gonzo thrown a pity party? Why does he need more money from his fan club? Surely it's rainbows and roses all the way for him from now on?

Unless he knows he's lost, of course. Still, Gonc's sob stories will divert their attention from the carnage Hutton has caused. Pcorneater

Poor, poor Gonc is surely going to be triumphant though, isn't he? His fans keep insisting he will be.

Why would he ask for money otherwise.....

Wonder if it's ever occurred to Gonzo to get a proper job? Or has his infamy in Portugal made him unemployable?

This is all according to Len Port, well-known citizen churnalist and member of not-Bennett's, so is naturally biased in favour of St Goncalol, but there is one interesting titbit in it.

http://algarvenewswatch.blogspot.co.uk/

McCanns vs Amaral verdict nearing
The verdict in the Kate and Gerry McCann’s civil action against the former lead detective Gonçalo Amaral may come sooner than expected because of a recent behind-the-scenes development in the long-drawn-out case.
The question of whether or not Kate and Gerry McCann are legally entitled to represent their daughter Madeleine in their claim for damages has taken a significant step closer to being resolved, according to a source close to the process.
Madeleine was made a ward of court in the UK in April 2008. In January last year, Amaral argued in Lisbon’s Palace of Justice that because Madeleine was still a ward of court the McCanns did not have the legal right to represent her in their Lisbon lawsuit against him and three other parties.
The Lisbon judge, Emília Melo e Castro, gave Madeleine’s parents the opportunity to obtain appropriate documentation about the ward of court matter from the British High Court

The McCanns had a 30-day set period in which to present this. They did so without delay and much earlier than expected. The documentation was presented to the Lisbon court through the couple’s lawyers on 23 January.
None of the defence lawyers has or is expected to raise any objections.
So it is now up to the Lisbon judge to decide the relatively straightforward matter of whether the documentation attests to the McCanns’ right to represent Madeleine. When this is settled, the trial is expected to move towards its last formal exchanges and then, finally, sooner than most people had anticipated, perhaps next month, a verdict.

The McCanns are seeking €1.2 million in damages for the severe distress they say has been caused to them by Amaral’s book, A Verdade da Mentira (‘The Truth of the Lie’), and a subsequent documentary.
The judge’s recent summary of the main points in the case that had been proved or not proved left Amaral and his supporters optimistic about the eventual outcome.
Amaral said this week that he was hoping for an acquittal and the lifting of financial difficulties that have burdened him since the McCanns decided to sue five years ago.

Yes, well, I hope to win the Euromillions jackpot tomorrow.....note the key section?

So much for all the tick-tockers. rofl rofl rofl rofl

Did Gonzo really think that The McCanns would have done this without checking first? Just because he is slap dash doesn't mean that everyone else is.

And it was only a delaying tactic anyway. IMO. Although God knows what he was delaying for. Things have only got worse for him in the meantime.

Good point on injustice:

Where has Port got this info from, not a leak was it?

As if it was doubted they would get this information from the court. Is that why it was obtained earlier than thought? Amaral had already got this info, hadn't he?

So, he knew when he posted that tale of woe, and the begging bowl got passed round his fan club yet again.

How fascinating!

xxxxxxCarana Anne Guedes has asked me to tell you that she reported no matéria de prova because none were publicly divulged.
« Last Edit: Today at 11:25:01 AM by Faithlilly »

So, it was all just hot air, as many suspected all along? Where did Astro's version of events come from? Did she post what Team Gonzo told her to post?

Right this minute, it looks like the whole thing was yet another Gonzo stunt; we DON'T know what the judge ruled, or said to the lawyers.

As some of us suspected was the case. Still, it gave them hope - and doubtless inspired gullible fools to contribute, yet again, to the Gonzo Shrimps'n'Beer Fund.

One hopes the Gonzo fan club have read this:

http://www.stopthemyths.info/viewtopic.php?f=115&t=7464

WoC and the libel trial

and tried to grasp why their unsavoury idol is in so much trouble. Oh, and that there appears to be no proper Source whatsoever for all those proven/unprovens.

If they can't, or won't, try to understand it, then they may well have some nasty shocks ahead.

I wonder how much Gonzo's pursuit of The WOC Papers cost his Beer and Shrimp Fund that his supporters were paying for?

Well done, Bennett and PeterMac. Now his last Lawyer will likely not get paid either.

That kind of belief on the part of the lunatics who use Twitter for their trolling games, that one has to have a large number of followers to be of any significance is an example of just how little they know about the way society works. Just because they are ensconced in this false world where Justin Bieber and Beyonce are considered great successes because they have been latched onto by a few million people who have clicked a button doesn't mean that those actually getting on with the real business of life have to follow the same silly path.

Twitter as a means of communicating with someone regarding something specific demands only that two people connect, though more can be involved.

My view of twitter is that it's great for saying, Help! There has been an earthquake! or, Don't worry, I survived the plane crash. For anything except actual immediate information, it's useless, just an endless stream of nonsense, threats and stupidity. And that's on a good day.

It can be quite entertaining to observe now and then, though. As in that example of judging someone's worth by the number of Followers; it's right up there with that idiot hounder that thought Eastenders was Sending A Message.
