Re: Reunited: Amazing stories of kidnapped children who came home

It’s that deep, gnawing fear that eats at every parent when they lose sight of their child in the supermarket; the worry that keeps us up at night when deciding if we should let the kids walk to school on their own; the ‘it-won’t-happen-to-me-but-oh-god-what-if-it-did’ thought that runs through our heads when we’re giving the ‘stranger danger’ talk.

While statistically children are most likely to come to harm at the hands of a friend or family member, there are also cases in which predators can snatch them right out from under us, a moment of opportunity and then – whoosh – our worst fears, realised.

Tragically, so many of these kidnappings have the worst possible outcome – the death of a child. For some, however, the horror ends with an escape and sometimes, even after all hope is lost, a child can be returned to their family. Here are five amazing stories in which children were able to escape their kidnappers and come home.

And let us not forget the three young women in Cleveland who were kidnapped by Ariel Castro - at least one of whom had been written off as dead thanks to a so-called 'cadaver dog'.

Ah but that does not conform to the antis viewpoint.  So, they insist on knowing more than the people actually going through it........I mean, just read their posts on other forums.

I hope these abducted children didn't have siblings? Look at this from a hater:

In my opinion the twins should have been put into care or into a foster family, hundreds of miles away from Leicester.  After all there is no evidence so far that Madeleine was abducted and if something untoward did happen to her by people she trusted, the way they are living and the environment they are living in must be very toxic.  Their minds must be very messed up living in the shadow of "Madeleine" every day.

What utter scum these creatures are!

The only thing 'toxic' about the twins' environment is the abuse and hatred spouted day in, day out, by the Amaral fan club.

No wonder the McCann-haters are often referred to as, The best friends any child abductor could wish for.
