'For this, we will publish online guidelines that these young women can read through to prepare themselves.'

A Syrian refugee reportedly allowed smugglers to rape his wife as payment for his family being trafficked to Europe.

The husband, who had run out of money, allegedly volunteered his wife for payment and apparently started participating in the daily rapes.

The unidentified woman, a mother-of-four, now lives in Berlin and has placed a restraining order on her husband, according to the New York Times.

The woman remains in fear of being killed by her estranged husband or another relative for bringing "dishonour" to the family.....etc.

More than 90 women in Germany reported they were either sexually assaulted or robbed outside a train station in Cologne on New Year’s Eve, with similar events taking place in two other major cities.

The news of the mass sexual assaults by “North African groups” of around 1,000 people didn’t break until Monday afternoon when Cologne’s police chief Wolfgang Albers called it a “completely new dimension of crime.” The number of total assaults has since grown from 60 to more than 100, spanning over three cities.

Similar incidents as the ones in Cologne took place in Stuttgart and Hamburg, with two and nine incidents, respectively. All three cities report the same profile of large groups groping women to distract them in order to steal their purses, but police say there are no indications of the events being related.

“There were lots of girls, all crying uncontrollably,” an anonymous victim said of the atmosphere inside the train station in Cologne, according to Deutsche Welle.

In scenes similar to those in Cologne, several women have reported New Year sexual assaults to police in Frankfurt.

In one case that took place shortly after midnight a group of around ten men encircled three women and touched them in a massively inappropriate manner, Spiegel reports.

The women reported the cases on Tuesday afternoon.

The men were of north African appearance who spoke in broken English with strong Arabic accents, police said.

“We didn’t know of the phenomenon where groups of men severely sexual molest women until now,” said a police spokesperson.

n another incident four women were assaulted by a group of three men who groped them. One of the women had her mobile phone stolen. As yet no description of the men has been published.

In Hamburg the number of women who have reported being sexually assaulted on New Year has risen to 39, police report.

Twenty six new cases of theft or sexual assault have been reported in the port city over the past 24 hours.

Details of sexual assaults in Hamburg have been slow to emerge. It seems, though, that the attacks took place in several spots, but were mainly focused on the Reeperbahn, the city’s best known night spot....etc.

I had a really nice conversation with a bank clerk today. It was his first day at my bank, and oh how he enjoyed exercising his awful English which was certainly no worse than my awful French. But how kind he was. And how lucky for him that I wandered by on his first day, clutching an English Cheque. I bet he won't forget me in a hurry. English cheques aren't normal around here, but he cracked it. Well done him.
