Re: US elections - Round Two
I just caught a bit of the most asinine conversation about Cuba on Fox. Those bimbos that infest it seemed to be completely unaware that far from being cut off from the world, Cuba has been a favourite holiday destination for Europeans for decades.
Of course, the US market is huge, but Cubans have seen luxury hotels before - even ones that AREN'T run by the Mafia.

Re: US elections - Round Two
You know, the Castros are perfectly placed to exploit a niche tourist market. They could sell the full Socialist Experience holidays to Sanders supporters and other moonbats.
No, not the one where they get shown round the 'quaint' bits, and are received with spontaneous cries of solidarity from liberated Cuban women hand-rolling cigars for the enjoyment of the masses.
No, I mean the one where they get to work in the cane fields for twelve hours a day, spend six hours a day listening to Castro speeches, and fritter away the remaining six hours on eating roadkill stew (if it's a meat day) and sleeping on bare boards....
To make it really authentic, the Socialist Experience holidays could be sold as lasting a month. At the end of the month, the moonbats would be desperate to get back to Starbucks and facebook. The Castros then announce that the moonbats haven't been sufficiently re-educated, and had to stay another month.....

Oh Lord.....
That image could scarcely be worse....
..but Obama managed it.
I don't know what to say - a condition I suspect is shared by many Americans tonight. It's not exactly Nixon going to China, or Mr. Gorbachev tear down this wall!, is it?

http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2016/03/21/obama-welcomes-castro-criticism-of-the-united-states/
President Obama welcomed criticism from President Raul Castro on issues in the United State, particularly on race relations and economic inequality.
“President Castro has also addressed what he views as shortcomings in the United States around basic needs for people in poverty and inequality and race relations and we welcome that constructive dialogue as well,” Obama says. “Because we believe that when we share our deepest beliefs and ideas with an attitude of mutual respect that we can both learn and make the lives of our people better.”
Ar@e. The psychopathic Guevera famously despised Blacks, gays, etc. And Obama won't see too many dark faces in the Cuban government, either.....

It looks very much as if Obama chose to be photographed in front of a decaying concrete block, with Che looking down nobly on them.

Re: US elections - Round Two
IMO, Obama is just rubbing people's noses in it now, Lily. Nothing at all wrong with restoring semi-civil relations with Cuba, jaw-jaw is always better, etc.
But carrying on like that? Appalling!
Meanwhile, I gather The Donald has pretty much sealed his victory. The full speech is here:
http://theconservativetreehouse.com/2016/03/21/donald-trump-aipac-speech-500pm-edt-est-livestream-video/
It's an awesome speech, even if I don't entirely agree with all of it.

“There is something going on, Maria,” he said. “Go to Brussels. Go to Paris. Go to different places. There is something going on and it’s not good, where they want Shariah law, where they want this, where they want things that — you know, there has to be some assimilation. There is no assimilation. There is something bad going on.”
Yet again, he's been proven right.

Bonny, I second what you said about Trump's speech. Finally, he sounds presidential.
It has, understandably, been knocked off the television, for now.

Oh, someone's woken Obungle up from his rum hangover, and he's going to say something Important about Brussels within the next hour.
Odds on it including 'religion of peace' and 'nothing to do with islam'?

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump 9 hrs9 hours ago
Lyin' Ted Cruz just used a picture of Melania from a G.Q. shoot in his ad. Be careful, Lyin' Ted, or I will spill the beans on your wife!
Boogerman's probably jealous because his wife is just another Goldman Sachs lackey - like him - while Mrs Donald is a rather gorgeous former model.

Boogerman's also probably upset about last night's results. Because, while on the face of it, Utah looks like a triumph for him:
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2016/03/23/trump-clinton-win-arizona-prize-rivals-notch-victories-in-utah-idaho.html
Though Arizona was the biggest prize on the map in Tuesday's Western contests, Sanders and Cruz won their states by huge, double-digit margins. Cruz took all of Utah's delegates by finishing with more than 50 percent of the vote.
Utah is another of those peculiar states, and is also full of Mormons and other religious nutters, who doubtless voted for Cruz because he is another religious nutter. It was a foregone conclusion they would vote as ordered by their pastors, like moslems voting Labour because their imam told them to.
Arizona was the important one.

Jeb Bush ✔ @JebBush
I am endorsing @TedCruz. Ted is a consistent, principled conservative who has shown he can unite the party. https://www.facebook.com/jebbush/posts/847372542058457 …
10:44 AM - 23 Mar 2016
So much for Cruz being an 'outsider'. What's the Cunning Plan? Cruz is Prez, Jeb! is VP, and then Cruz has a mishap of a Hinckley nature - and isn't as lucky as Reagan?

Re: US elections - Round Two
Here's a thing. I often have one of the news channels on in the background during the day - frequently Fox just now.
Most US politicians I barely notice. Kasich and Sanders are just wallpaper, but Trump is generally interesting. Hillary I have to mute, because I cannot stand her constant shouting and screeching.
But if Cruz comes on, I have to change the channel. I cannot bear his oily voice, but there's just something about his general appearance, and his face. There's something wrong with him, as if his skin is about to melt and a lizard appear.....

Funnily enough, I can't watch or listen to him either. He should go on Icke TV as he sounds like he would fit in.

That's that evangelical cult Cruz apparently follows. I say 'supposedly', because to me, he's the candidate most likely to be caught in bed with a hooker or a rent boy, like those televangelists....

http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2016/03/23/obama-islamic-state-perverted-one-of-the-worlds-great-religions/
President Obama denounced the violent activities of Islamic State terrorists, asserting that they had distorted the teachings of Islam to promote their hatred around the world.
“They are vicious killers and murderers who have perverted one of the world’s great religions,” Obama said, “And their primary power in addition to killing innocent lives is to strike fear in our societies, to disrupt our societies.”
No, sunshine, they haven't 'perverted' islam one bit; their death cult is absolutely pure islam.
