Wisconsin governor Scott Walker said Thursday that in the event of a contested convention, the Republican nominee will likely be someone who is “not currently running.”

“I think if it’s an open convention, it’s very likely it would be someone who’s not currently running,” Walker said.

Yup, that should go down well with tens of millions of US voters. Doesn't the GOP believe in democracy?

Nothing would surprise me about that creep, Lily. Also, I would guess the Enquirer story is true - I don't see them publishing damaging nonsense about someone so high-profile after the Gawker case.

They don't half drag it out, don't they. However, it is prime entertainment. I don't ever remember UK Elections getting this interesting, although you know what they say.

No disrespect meant to Americans, Sabot, but I usually find their elections beyond tedious - month after month of mini-elections and interminable arguments about 'issues'. This one's more like Dallas.
