Update: Minnesota Stabbing Terrorists Made ‘References to Allah’

Police have confirmed multiple injuries in a mass stabbing incident in St. Cloud, Minnesota’s Crossroads Mall. The suspect, police say, is dead, though they have not provided more information.

Update 1:10 AM ET: In a press briefing, police officials confirmed that the suspect made “references to Allah” while conducting the terrorist attack and “asked at least one person if they were Muslim when they assaulted them.” Officials noted that there is “no evidence” that any other individuals were involved in the attack, and there is “no imminent threat” to civilians as the suspect was killed in a confrontation with an off-duty police officer.

The suspect is has no significant criminal background, police noted, with only three incidents on his record, “most minor traffic violations.”

The individual in question was wearing a “private security uniform.” Officials do not have any evidence tying it to “any other incident,” including the bombs discovered in New Jersey and an explosion in New York.

St. Cloud Police Chief Blair Anderson said police still “need to figure out what the motivation was” before confirming that the incident was an instance of jihad.

Mayor Dave Kleis said the mall will remain close “until further notice.”

The Minnesota stabbings were definitely the religion of peace. If it turns out the New York and New Jersey bombs were, too, and not some other lunatics, I think we can all work out who the next president is going to be....

Multiple devices found outside New Jersey train station; 1 explodes after robot tries to disarm it

Five suspicious devices were found in a backpack near a New Jersey train station Sunday night. One exploded when a bomb squad robot tried to disarm it.

Elizabeth Mayor Christian Bollwage said two men called police and reported seeing wires and a pipe coming out of the package after finding it in a trash can around 8:30 p.m.

Media at the scene reported hearing a loud explosion and smelling gunpowder at around 12:40 a.m. Monday after Bollwage said earlier that the Union County bomb squad’s robotic device indicated that the package could’ve been a live bomb. There was no report of injuries following the explosion.

Bollwage said the FBI and state police would decide how to remove the devices.

New Jersey Transit service was suspended early Monday between Newark Liberty Airport and Elizabeth, and New Jersey-bound Amtrak trains were being held at New York Penn Station, officials said.

Riders reported being stuck on Amtrak and NJ Transit trains for hours Sunday night, while some trains moved in reverse to let passengers off at other stations.

The discovery of the suspicious package comes a day after an explosion in Manhattan injured 29 people, and an unexploded pressure-cooker device was found four blocks away. Also Saturday, a pipe bomb exploded about an hour from the Elizabeth train station in Seaside Park, New Jersey, forcing the cancellation of a military charity 5K run. Officials said it didn't appear that those two incidents were connected, though they weren't ruling anything out.


It's not terrorism, though, so there's nothing to worry about.

This rather reminds me of the IRA bombings on the British mainland - ironically, often financed by deluded idiots in the US who thought they were somehow helping the 'auld country'.

Federal authorities conducted a traffic stop of a “vehicle of interest” in the Chelsea bombing Sunday night in Brooklyn. A law enforcement source told Fox News that a “number of individuals” who are possibly connected to the explosion were taken into custody.

Law enforcement officials told the Associated Press that at least 5 men were being questioned. The two officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to talk about an ongoing investigation. The FBI said in a statement that no one had been charged with any crime and the investigation was ongoing.

New York state Sen. Marty Golden posted an Instagram photo, saying the FBI took “several individuals” into custody on the Belt Parkway underneath the Verrazano Bridge at around 8:40 p.m.

A government source told Fox News that investigators believe more than one person was involved in the blast. Investigators were reviewing surveillance footage from the scene and it does suggest more than one person was involved, the source said.

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said earlier Sunday that residents should expect a heightened security presence as the investigation continued and when the United National General Assembly kicks off, which draws leaders from around the world.

"Now for all New Yorkers, a central message we want to give today is be vigilant," de Blasio said during a news conference. "Be vigilant at this point in time, not just because of this incident, be vigilant because we’re going into United Nations General Assembly week."

Oh, the UN troughers will be perfectly safe - their ilk always are. It's only us plebs who are in danger from the crazies.

So, the Minnesota slasher turns out to be a Somalian muslim, and rumours are rife that the bunch being questioned over the bombs are Afghans.

A 28-year-old from Afghanistan is being hunted in connection with explosions in New York, which left 29 injured, and New Jersey.

A suspect in the Manhattan and New Jersey bombings has been identified and the public are warned he could be "armed and dangerous".

New York Mayor Bill de Blasio has named the man being hunted as 28-year-old Ahmad Khan Rahami - a New Jersey resident and a naturalised US citizen from Afghanistan.

The development in the fast-moving investigation came after five devices were found in the New Jersey city of Elizabeth, one of which exploded as a bomb squad robot tried to disable it.

The discovery followed a series of attacks in the US over the weekend, with explosions in Manhattan and New Jersey, and a knife attack in Minnesota.

The authorities have now linked the explosive devices in both New York and New Jersey.

Mr de Blasio said of Rahami: "We need to get this guy in right away.

"My experience is one the FBI zeroes in on someone, they will get them."

Investigators also think that Rahami was not acting alone, but do not know who the others are.

Meanwhile, New York governor Andrew Cuomo, having previously ruled out a link between the Manhattan bombing and international terrorism, has now acknowledged "it may be foreign related".....etc.

The family of Ahmad Khan Rahami sued the city of Elizabeth, New Jersey claiming that the multiple citations against their business, a fried chicken business “known for criminal activity,” were a product of discrimination against Muslims. Rahami has been named as the prime suspect in a string of bombings throughout the New York area.

If Mohammad's revelations are true, they put law enforcement in a bad light, since Rahami was not on any terror watch lists despite his troubles back home and frequent travel to the Middle East.
Investigators are currently looking into whether the 28-year-old was working alone or perhaps with others.
While Mohammad's father has spoken with the press twice in the last two days, other members of his family have been silent.
And there are questions about whether other family members knew about his plot, including his mother and wife who left the U.S. for the Middle East right before the attacks.
The Los Angeles Times reports that Rahami's wife left for Pakistan just days before the bombings, and was stopped by officials in the United Arab Emirates, a popular stopover for flights between the U.S. and the Middle East. It's still unclear whether she was allowed to travel on to Pakistan, was held in the UAE or returned to the U.S.
Rahami's mother also left for Turkey three weeks before the attacks, and has not yet returned to the U.S., an official told ABC News.
