Reports of shots outside UK Parliament

There are reports of shots being fired outside the Houses of Parliament and the Palace of Westminster is reportedly in lockdown.
Politicians and journalists have tweeted about hearing loud crashes outside the buildings, as witnesses said they saw people being treated for injuries.
Witnesses have reported seeing a man with a knife within the palace grounds.
A police officer has also told the BBC's political editor Laura Kuenssberg that someone has been shot outside Portcullis House.

It seems that the shots were the police shooting the assailant.

Something seems to be happening on Westminster Bridge, too.

TERROR IN LONDON Parliament terror attack – woman dead and others ‘catastrophically’ injured after 4×4 mows down a dozen people on Westminster Bridge.

Prime Minister was in voting lobby at the time of the attack and bundled into a car.

A woman has died and numerous others are “catastrophically” injured after a 4×4 mowed down a dozen people on Westminster Bridge before a knifeman stormed Parliament grounds and stabbed a cop.

The attacker, who was wielding an ‘eight inch’ knife, was shot by police after launching the terror attack in the capital this afternoon.

Thanks, LL. News is coming in almost too fast to follow. I gather the death toll is now two, and the killer is described as a 'middle aged man of Asian appearance'.

Poor souls - I gather a group of French school children was caught up in it. And the woman who was rescued from the Thames will need her stomach pumped on top of everything else - it's not the cleanest of rivers, even now.

Oh good, he's died of his wounds. At least taxpayers won't have to keep him in comfort for decades, NHS money won't be wasted on the scumbag, and we won't have to listen to lectures in court from him about his bloodthirsty moon god.

https://www.rt.com/uk/381876-abu-izzadeen-suspect-attack/

The man who launched a terrorist attack on the UK Parliament has been named by Britain's Channel 4 News as British-born Abu Izzadeen, a known “hate-preacher” and a vocal supporter of Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL).
Trends
UK Parliament terrorist attack
Izzadeen who was born Trevor Brooks in Hackney London, has been described as a hate-preacher after serving as a spokesman for the Al Ghurabaa group - an organization banned by the Terrorism Act 2006.

He did time in jail for terror related offenses, including “inciting others to commit acts of terrorism overseas” and funding terror groups. He was released in May 2009.

His Twitter account was suspended a few hours after the attack when suspicions arose that he might be the perpetrator.

Trevor Brooks:  Abu Izzadeen is a British citizen born on 18 April 1975 in Hackney, east London, to a family originally from Jamaica. Brooks converted to Islam the day before he turned 18, on 17 April 1993, changing his name to Omar, but preferring to be called Abu Izadeen. He is fluent in Arabic.

He trained and worked for a while as an electrician. He and his Arab-born wife Mokhtaria were married in 1998. They have three children.

Abu Izzadeen met Omar Bakri Muhammed and Abu Hamza al-Masri at Finsbury Park Mosque in the 1990s; this is when he is thought to have been radicalized.

He visited Pakistan in 2001, before the September 11 attacks, as part of Al-Muhajiroun; he claims he went there to give a series of lectures. He also claimed to have attended terror training camps in Afghanistan.

He described the 7/7 suicide bombers in London as "completely praiseworthy".

On the eve of the anniversary of the 7/7 attacks in London, he was filmed preaching to a group of Muslims in Birmingham mocking and laughing at those who believe in the war on terror and who feel a need to resist Islamic terrorism. He also mocked the courage of journalists who were captured by insurgents.

He has openly stated that he wishes to die as a suicide bomber.

On 20 September 2006, Abu Izadeen and Anjem Choudary disrupted Home Secretary John Reid's first public meeting with Muslims since his appointment. He called Reid an "enemy" of Islam.    John Humphrys interviewed Izzadeen on the 22 September 2006 edition of BBC Radio 4's Today programme.   In a heated discussion Abu Izzadeen stated that his aim was to bring about Sharia law in the UK and that this should be achieved without following the democratic process but rather "in accordance to the Islamic methodology".

Izzadeen's solicitor was quoted by US channel ABC as saying his client was still in jail and could not have been the attacker.

Reporters from Channel 4 have also since backtracked, adding that Izzadeen's brother confirmed the Islamist is still in prison.

The source I trusted, but ultimately I made a mistake. This time I got it wrong. Abu Izzadeen is in prison.

I think they mean that he did the actually ghastliness alone. These arrests are probably of people associated with him , ie a backup group. Oh, and while I am here, "the whole thing was staged, just like the Boston attack." The conspiracy loons are hard at work .... LL Hahau
