Mine are more like that, LL, they don't even attempt to look guilty.

I always knew when Romulus had done something awful. I would come home and find him hiding under the table. And I swear to God I never laid a hand on him.

The day he ate the Rat Poison was classic. I might not have noticed the odd bits of plastic if he wasn't hiding under the table.

Fat balls is the worst I've had to deal with in recent years....

The rotten little bugger might have died if I hadn't seen the plastic. Warafin, basically. Bleed to death.

99 Euros later and loads of vomit, the horrible little article did survive. And for a few more years.

But it is always down to the one and only. I think that some of us have this, and maybe some of us never do.

Hamlet has been dead of old age for nearly fifty years now, and I will never get over it. He was the only one. No dog will ever be quite my heart ever again.

But I am not good without dogs, and so I hope. And so I have no conception of people. I simply do not understand people.

But after Hamlet it was always going to be down hill.

The more I see of people (present company excepted, of course!) the more I prefer animals.
