Mob of lefties slammed.   Hard-left activists blasted for ‘hijacking’ the genuine outrage over the Grenfell Tower fire tragedy.

Members of Corbyn fan group - Momentum - spotted at the invasion of Kensington and Chelsea Town Hall.

Hard-left activists were blasted for “hijacking” the genuine outrage over the Grenfell tragedy.

Supporters of Jeremy Corbyn fan group Momentum were spotted during the invasion of Kensington and Chelsea Town Hall.

Hundreds of people with placards reading “we demand an inquest” gathered outside.

But a separate group broke away from the other protesters and gained access to the building — within them one activist was spotted wearing red Momentum t-shirt.

And Corbyn-supporting popstar Lily Allen — who was slammed for accusing the media of a cover up over the disaster — was also photographed inside the town hall building.

Later Socialist Workers Party and Socialist Party activists flooded a protest on Whitehall with pre-prepared placards and banners.

A group of hundreds of activists shut down Westminster and marched on Downing Street demanding Theresa May resign.

Socialist worker placards read “MAY MUST GO” and “KICK THE TORIES OUT” and other signs said the Tories had “blood on their hands” and urged the public to “back Corbyn.”

Another banner unfurled was from the hard-left students union at London uni SOAS.

A dozen riot vans were on standby and a police helicopter circled above.   But one eyewitness slammed the Westminster protest as “a bunch of white middle class students, who were handed their signs.”

They went on: “These kids had nothing to do with Grenfell, it was just the usual suspects and the students turning up.”

Tory MP David Morris hit out: “This does not come as any surprise after the vile intimidation Momentum pumped out across the country during the election.”   He added: “It’s sad to see genuine anger and hurt hijacked for cheap political stunts and these people should be ashamed.”

Rent-a-Mob back in business again?   And should we examine Corbyn's affiliations to Socialist Workers Party and Socialist Party?   LL

Back in business? The Trots never went away. It was obvious from the freak show yesterday that the 'protesters' had nothing to do with the actual disaster, they were just exploiting it.

Meanwhile, Jezza has a bit of a problem....

http://www.standard.co.uk/news/politics/labours-new-kensington-mp-was-on-housing-scrutiny-committee-a3566661.html

A row has broken out between Labour’s new Kensington MP Emma Dent Coad and her Conservative predecessor over the Grenfell Tower fire.

Ms Dent Coad, below, has accused Tory-led Kensington and Chelsea council of failures that led to the blaze, claiming “poor-quality materials and construction standards have played a part in this hideous and unforgivable event”.

But as a councillor she was on Kensington and Chelsea’s housing scrutiny committee, which oversees “community safety issues”, until May 2014.

A 2014/15 report, in which she is named, says the committee scrutinised work on Grenfell Tower.

She was on the board of Kensington and Chelsea Tenant Management Organisation when the tower’s refurbishment was discussed.

Kensington’s ex-Tory MP, Victoria Borwick, said Ms Dent Coad shared “collective responsibility” for the work.

Quite; corruption and incompetence cross all party lines.

Of course, Sabot, but that isn't nearly as satisfying as harrassing and bullying hapless staff at the council offices who have nothing to do with any of this.

With the best will in the world, they aren't helping their cause by demanding lynch-law 'justice' and instant 'answers'. It's becoming clear that the emergency services can't only not get to all the victims, they don't even know how many people were in the block due to illegal sub-letting.

Some Egyptian tenant apparently went back to Egypt on holiday and let 'relatives' use his apartment. How many 'relatives'? One? Two? Five? Six?

Think only London high-rises are dangerous?

DISASTER Cladded flats in Glasgow branded “tinder boxes” as GHA is accused of fire complacency in wake of Grenfell Tower blaze
Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Dundee and Fife councils have ordered urgent checks of tower blocks

CLADDED flats in Scotland’s biggest city are “tinder boxes” ready to ignite, it was claimed last night.

Housing chiefs and the Scottish Government were accused of fire safety complacency in the wake of the Grenfell Tower horror.
...etc.

Of course they're complacent, Labour and the SNP both imagine they are somehow morally superior to those Evil English Tories, but as anyone here will tell you, planning departments have been a byword for corruption for decades.

Now, I have always disliked exterior cladding, on anything bar garages or conservatories, for aesthetic reasons - it's real fur coat and no knickers stuff, IMO.

But also because it's bloody obvious that given the right circumstances, PLASTIC BURNS.

Profits of misery: How people 'who fitted out Grenfell Tower on the cheap' are mired in claims of tax avoidance, shoddy work and shameful management despite six-figure salaries, £2m homes and even a gong
Controversial firms won lucrative contracts to carry out work for KCTMO
The company in charge of Grenfell Tower was accused of multiple safety failures
Fire safety experts were concerned about supervision and accountability
All the while KCTMO executives like Fay Edwards basked in the lap of luxury
The chairman of the organisation was awarded the British Empire Medal in 2016

That's a good piece. Supposedly, £70,000 was spent on 'improving' each flat, but it sure doesn't look like it.

While the kitchen fire that ignited the plastic cladding was, literally, the spark that lit the flame, the groundwork for this avoidable disaster was laid long ago. It was Blair who first decided that covering buildings in plastic was a good idea, his government that weakened building regulations.

And who on earth thought that it was an 'improvement' to have the gas supply pipes running up the side of the emergency stairs? Madness!

Corbyn and co need to wind their necks in and stop looking for easy targets to blame, to stir up Trot mobs - it's sheer exploitation of grieving people, IMO.

Oh, he'll just wave his hands, say he's a decent sort of chap, and that he feels everyone's pain - usual guff.

And this is why there has to be a proper, far-reaching inquiry, not mob justice courtesy of Corbyn's thugs - a long chain of events led up to those seconds when the rubbish plastic cladding ignited.

http://news.sky.com/story/may-meets-grenfell-fire-victims-and-volunteers-in-downing-street-10918431

Theresa May has admitted that the support given to families in the hours following the Grenfell Tower fire "was not good enough".

In a statement, the Prime Minister acknowledged the "huge frustrations" residents have experienced in trying to get answers from the council - and she vowed the public inquiry into the deadly blaze will be "open and transparent".

Mrs May said the name of the judge who will head the inquiry is going to be announced in the next few days.

The PM also confirmed that she will be the person responsible for implementing the inquiry's findings.

She said: "People lost everything in the fire and were left in only the clothes they were wearing.

"I can confirm that a £5m emergency fund that I announced yesterday is now being distributed on the ground so people can buy clothes, food and other essentials. If more funding is required, it will be provided.

"Residents rightly want to know when new housing will be provided. I have fixed a deadline of three weeks for everybody affected to be found a home nearby."

Mrs May added that she has requested "daily progress reports" to ensure victims are re-homed quickly.
...more at link.

I may have missed it, but did Corbyn and his cronies actually DO anything except exploit this tragedy, and sh*t-stir for political ends?

Did millionairess motormouth Lily Allen take any of those made homeless back to her mansion with her? No?

http://www.heraldscotland.com/news/15354882.Residents_tell_of_regular_fires_in_Scottish_tower_blocks/

Residents tell of regular fires in Scottish tower blocks

RESIDENTS of high rise flats in Scotland have told how they are living in fear after reporting regular fires in their own tower blocks.

In the wake of the horrific Grenfell Tower fire in London, families say they want reassurances that they are safe and increased protective measures to be installed.

Almost every resident of Glasgow tower blocks interviewed by the Sunday Herald said there had been fires in their high rises. Many said they unsure about evacuation procedures. Glasgow has the highest population of tower blocks in the UK, with an estimated 96 high rises due to be refurbished. In 2003, there were 201 tower blocks, 73 of which have been knocked down.

Others called for sprinklers – which in Glasgow Housing Association properties are only found in locked bin stores – to be installed on all floors, as well as additional fire extinguishers and improved exits.

Yesterday, the outside of the tower block at 30 Kingsway is still blackened by smoke — the damage stretching up eight or more floors — from a fire that happened around a month ago. It is understood that someone set fire to a bin bag.

One resident, who lives with her mother on the 18th floor said she could smell smoke and then spotted the fire out of the window. She remained indoors, was not evacuated and the fire was put out but she was left shaken. “What happened in London is a disgrace. I keep thinking about those babies and wee ones. I’m left terrified and so is my mum. I want out but they won’t rehouse me. I think there should be sprinklers and more fire exits. They are testing a new system now where they are putting fire retardant material on the verandas and they say if you go there then it means you’ll be safe for 30 minutes. But what if the fire fighters can’t get to you? There are a lot of old pensioners and young families up in these blocks and I think more and more people are worried after London.” Elham Ghousi, 20, whose family are from Afghanistan and who has lived on the 8th floor of 30 Kingsway block for most of his life, said that the fire was handled safely, adding: “I was outside and they stopped people from entering for a couple of hours.”

Pushing her ten-month-old baby in his buggy outside their 15th floor flat in Lincoln Avene yesterday Lubica Zimnoch said she had been uncertain how to react when recent fires broke out. “There have been two fires here recently,” she said. “During the last one I heard an alarm and so we came down the stairs alone. Nobody told us to. I wasn’t sure what I should do.”

Glasgow Housing Association yesterday confirmed that the cladding used in its recent multi-million pound refurbishment programme is non-combustible and very different from the Celotex RS 5000 material cladding the Grenfell Tower. However, some residents said they were unaware of the difference and as a result had been left in fear. Near the Kingsway tower block, Gary Melville is sitting on a bench watching his five-year-old son play. “You just wonder if the cladding is safe here,” he said. When told that GHA had confirmed that it was he looked relieved but added: “Nobody’s made sure we know that. There’s been no letters through the door, nothing up in the foyer or anything.”

He watched the last fire through the windows of his 14th floor flat but said the first he knew about it was the flashing blue emergency lights below. “I don’t really know what would make [the blocks safer],” he said. “I feel they should just knock them down and start again.”

He believes the buildings are flawed. The new lifts that have been installed are already regularly breaking down, he says, with people sometimes trapped inside. Instead of risking the lifts he regularly walks his two young children up and down the 14 floors. “We’ve been trying to move but the GHA bidding system is no use. We’ve two kids, four and five, and they say its fine for them to share a bedroom so we’re not a priority.”

One resident who has lived on the 20th floor of a Kingsway flat for five years, but did not want to be named, said he had previously lived in the Grenfell Tower in 2001-2003 after coming to the UK from Algeria.

“Of course we’re scared,” he said. “I’m 20 floors up. I lived in [Grenfell] for four years and it was horrible. I have to say it is much better here. GHA staff are always around. But accidents do happen. I would like to move from here to be honest.” Another said: “Of course sprinklers are going to help, but let’s face it, that’s not going to happen.”

David Mowatt, a previous tenant of Kingsway blocks, said: “What happened in London is really tragic. It does make you think it would be good if there were sprinklers here, and fire extinguishers and more fire escapes.”

It is understood that housing officers in Scotland have been working extra hours in the days since the London fire, double checking fire alarms and other safety features and being “extra vigilant”. However some residents said that they did not feel they had been kept informed.

Matt Wrack, Fire Brigades Union general secretary, said the union wanted to make it a legal requirement for a sprinkler system and some form of smoke alarm to be fitted in every high rise property. The FBU, which has long lobbied on the issue is expected to step up its campaign.

New high-rise buildings in England, Scotland and Wales must be fitted with sprinklers, but there currently no laws compelling landlords to “retro-fit” older high-rises with sprinklers.

Despite recommendations from a coroner’s report from March 2013 for government to “encourage” high rise housing providers to install them, few multi-story blocks have them in place. In Glasgow, GHA has sprinklers in the bin stores to stop fires spreading via the rubbish chute but none in the main buildings while in Edinburgh city council properties there are none.

Wrack said: “The FBU has campaigned on this issue for some time and has said good quality smoke alarms and sprinkler systems should be in place. Our position is that we are calling for it to become a legal requirement that a sprinkler system should be in each property.”
......etc.

Oh, those Evil Tories, exploiting these poor people!

Hang on - Glasgow? Run by Labour for fifty years until a month ago Glasgow?

BTW, has anyone tried telling the tenants NOT to set fire to bin bags and rubbish chutes? There's only so much that can be done in the face of utter stupidity.

Jeremy Corbyn: Put Grenfell Tower homeless in empty luxury flats.
Jeremy Corbyn has called for empty luxury properties in Kensington to be requisitioned to house victims of the Grenfell inferno.

The Labour leader claimed the tragedy had exposed a "tale of two cities", with some of the wealthiest homes in the country located alongside the poorest.

He spent about 40 minutes on Thursday consoling victims at St Clements Church, which is being used as a refuge for those who have lost their homes.
Mr Corbyn's plan was criticised by Conservative MP Andrew Bridgen, who told the Daily Mail: "It is unsurprising, following their self-delusion that they won the election that Mr Corbyn and his allies are lurching even further to the left.

"Suggesting requisitioning empty properties when empty student accommodation is available locally is completely in line with his Marxist belief that all private property should belong to the state."

Oh, so the properties are seized, sorry requisitioned, while Corby and his crew hope to heaven the Government falls and they get power so then they can hang onto the buildings and make them state owned?   Now where was that place where this was done?    Oh yes East Berlin by the commies/marxists.    LL

The mindset is ALWAYS the same with these Trots, LL. I never did like Corbyn, but after his behaviour this week, I utterly despise him.

Notice neither he, nor any of those millionaire Labour MPs with second homes, have taken a single homeless survivor into their own properties?

Millionairess Lily Allen is awfully good at sh*t-stirring and mouthing off - why doesn't she take refugees, homeless survivors, etc., into her own mansion?

Disgusting hypocrites, the whole damned lot of them. What's more, if they hijack this as a 'cause', they are going to do dreadful harm to efforts to help survivors, as their angry, ugly Momentum faces will, to the public, come to represent the bereaved and newly homeless.

People shouldn't kid themselves that 'Jeremy' actually cares - he's just using this disaster for his own, Trot ends.

Grenfell community fear 'Day of Rage' protest could descend into riots as organisers threaten 'class war'

Left wing campaigners are planning a “day of rage” to coincide with the Queen’s Speech this week in protest over the conditions they claim led to the Grenfell Tower blaze and the deaths of at least 58 people.

Militant groups are planning to march on Parliament on Wednesday in a show of anger at the Government’s austerity policies they say led to the tragedy.

Led by the Movement for Justice By Any Means Necessary - formed in 1995 by a number of Marxist groups - campaigners are urging protesters to “walk out of school, take the day off, call in sick, strike”.

Advertising the event the movement’s Facebook page declares: “We must escalate our actions to take down this rotten government, which has lost all authority to govern.”
...etc

Riots would, of course, suit Jezza and co down to the ground - he's dangerously close to trying to overthrow a democratically-elected government.

Remember I said before the election that Jezza getting anywhere near power would end with the military being called in? I have no illusions about what Corbyn really is, under that sweet grandfather act.

Mr Corbyn told ITV's Peston on Sunday there was no excuse for a delay in re-housing people when empty properties were available.
He said: 'Occupy it, compulsory purchase it, requisition it - there's a lot of things you can do.'
'Can't we as a society just think, all of us, it's all very well putting our arms around people during the crisis but homelessness is rising, the housing crisis is getting worse and my point was quite a simple one.
'In an emergency, you have to bring all assets to the table in order to deal with that crisis and that's what I think we should be doing in this case.'

The Labour leader added: 'Put it another way: Every day at Heathrow planes get delayed. Hundreds of people get stranded at airports all over the world.
'Hotels are found for them immediately, they are sorted out.
'400 or so people (in Kensington) and still, most of them, do not have somewhere decent, safe and secure to stay in. Somehow it seems to have been beyond the wit of the public services to deal with a crisis facing a relatively small number of people.'
Tory MP Andrew Bridgen told MailOnline: 'Corbyn has shown he is willing to trample over the bodies of the Grenfell fire victims in a cynical attempt to score a political point and push his far left agenda.
'He seeks to exploit a tragedy and shows himself for what he is: a Marxist who believes all private property should belong to the state.'
MP George Freeman, who chairs the Conservative Policy Forum, tweeted: 'The Grenfell Tower tragedy raises very serious questions.
'But Corbyn and McDonnell advocating seizure of private homes and inciting riots is irresponsible.'

I hope, for their own sakes, that the genuine victims of this horror have the sense to stay well away from Corbyn and his thugs. Under all the faux concern, he's exploiting them for his own ends.

Disgusting man - but very close to overplaying his hand, I suspect.

There is liable to be bad trouble in London this week:

http://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/818437/grenfell-tower-london-fire-socialist-militants-plan-day-of-rage-theresa-may-parliament

The socialist militant groups are expected to take to the streets on Wednesday as they march on Parliament in a show of anger at the Government’s austerity policies which have been blamed for the tragedy.

Led by the Movement for Justice By Any Means Necessary - formed in 1995 by a number of Marxist groups - campaigners are urging protesters to flood the streets by “walking out of school, taking the day off, calling in sick and striking”.

Organisers claim the event will “shut down London” as anger boils over across the capital.

Residents and campaigners have demanded answers over the horrific fire, with the fears the death toll could reach as many as 100.

Fliers promoting the event have been handed out in Piccadilly Circus today and a Facebook group has been set up for the event on June 21.

Protesters have been told to meet at Shepherds Bush Green at 1pm before marching en masse nearly five miles to the Houses of Parliament.

And Jezza's chum, the new MP for the area, signed off on all these 'improvements':

This is all going to come out before much longer, when The Tories start to fight back.

This is so like Anti and Pro McCann. Pros trying to be fair and logical in the face of adversity. We all did it, because we didn't understand the nature of the beast.
It doesn't work. I am doing my bit on The Daily Fail, and getting a really good response. But it simply isn't enough.
