Rebekah Brooks was given £11m pay-off from News Corp after phone-hacking scandal, official documents reveal
Former News International chief executive was forced to quit at the height of the phone hacking scandal
NI Group accounts reveal £10.852million 'compensation for loss of office'
She will also have legal costs covered in two court cases, over alleged payments to public officials and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice
Firm gave £2million to the family of murdered schoolgirl Milly Dowler whose phone was hacked

Former News of the World editor Rebekah Brooks was handed a £10.8million pay-off when she quit as one of Rupert Murdoch's key executives at the height of the phone-hacking scandal, it emerged today.
The sum is significantly higher than the £3million and £7million payouts previously thought.
Mrs Brooks, a close ally of Mr Murdoch and a friend of David Cameron, resigned as chief executive of News International last year, days after the closure of the newspaper she once edited.
Accounts for NI Group Ltd filed with Companies House today finally revealed the size of the 'compensation' Mrs Brooks received.
An unnamed director received £10.852million as 'compensation for loss of office', the accounts said.
The money includes 'various ongoing benefits', the Guardian reported. This includes funding for an office in Marylebone for two years and paying for some staff.
The sum dwarfs the £2million the firm gave the family of murdered schoolgirl Milly Dowler whose phone was hacked.
Mrs Brooks will also have 'all legal and other professional costs' paid for in connection with court cases she is fighting 'until those investigations are concluded'. More costs are expected to be incurred.

Mrs Brooks is due to face trial in September next year over alleged illegal payments to public officials.

Can't say I am greatly interested in Ms Brooks, but just wait for the carpet-chewing and frothing by the McCann-haters, who have been gleefully predicting ruin and penury awaited Ms Brooks.

Oh, the poor hounders! When this saga started, they really did believe things like:

That'll bring her down a peg or two. Probably knocka few percent off the TM confidence factor too!! Brooks may well wish to do a deal or two behind the scenes, help the police out with their enquiries so to speak...

=======

I hope she gets what is due to her in a good and proper manner she so deserves.
I bet she didn't expect it will come to this when she was barking orders and threatening Theresa May and DC from her once lofty peak!

====

I hope her personal staff who are charged along with her will spill the beans on her to save their sorry arse from prison bed.

====

All she`s doing is showing herself up to be a cornered rat firing in all directions and I`m sure the powers that be can see through her. It`s not even that clever - rather childish in fact.

=====
My favourite has to be:

Someone like her will never wake up to her mistakes, maybe jail term will make her reflect harder about it.

An ELEVEN MILLION POUND payday and the best lawyers NI money can buy are mistakes? rofl rofl rofl rofl
