Zwicky321 @Zwicky321
Joana's blog still appears to be there http://joana-morais.blogspot.com/ #mccann
And has been sitting dead in the water for some days now. Even then, all she posted was newspaper stuff we're all capable of reading for ourselves.
Yet she's been twittering a storm about strikes, etc.

Re: Gerry McCann: PM 'missing historic opportunity
I think Cameron deserves congratulations for managing to enrage EVERYONE over the press reform business by continually switching camps.
And as for making sub-prime mortgages government policy - sheer genius! I truly believe he is the worst PM the UK has ever had.

Hasn't he learned about sub-prime mortgages?

Re: Gerry McCann: PM 'missing historic opportunity
Clearly not, Lily. Or, he has decided that the UK should taste some of the misery sub-prime mortgages have caused in the US, Spain, Ireland and elsewhere.

He wants the UK to dive down into a more serious recession?

Re: Gerry McCann: PM 'missing historic opportunity
Something new for the 8rs to screech about:
(my bolds)
http://openaccess.city.ac.uk/1988/
Abstract
Three-year-old Madeleine McCann disappeared on 3 May 2007 from a holiday apartment in Portugal. Over five years and multiple investigations that failed to solve this abducted child case, Madeleine and her parents were subject to a process of relentless ‘intermediatization’. Across 24–7 news coverage, websites, documentaries, films, YouTube videos, books, magazines, music and artworks, Madeleine was a mediagenic image of innocence and a lucrative story. In contrast to Madeleine’s media sacralization, the representation of her parents, Kate and Gerry McCann, fluctuated between periods of vociferous support and prolonged and libellous ‘trial by media’. This article analyses how the global intermediatization of the ‘Maddie Mystery’ fed into and fuelled the ‘trial by media’ of Kate and Gerry McCann in the UK press. Our theorization of ‘trial by media’ is developed and refined through considering its legal limitations in an era of ‘attack journalism’ and unprecedented official UK inquiries into press misconduct and criminality.

Re: Gerry McCann: PM 'missing historic opportunity
Sorry, but surely that link cannot be accurate?
Didn't the online self-confessed THUG, Mike Hardy (spudgun01) of Kent, not report to the scum who follow his words that no such research was being done? That no university research was examining the media (including the online forums and web sites) relating to the McCann case?
Does that mean that the extremely thick and ignorant Mike Hardy who could not even recognise a genuine Twitter account when it bit him on his rather large backside was wrong again?
I am pleased to state that it means precisely that.
The link is accurate and is but one example of the research being done at UK universities on the subject. Another university closer to Hardy's own territory is Kingston where a group is researching the international aspects of the case and other universities around the country are preparing other work more closely related to the online thuggery which Hardy indulges in. Just because he is too ignorant to know about these things does not mean they don't exist.

That is such a great summation, Greenink, not only of Spudders but of the hounders/forkers in general. (Although they have a habit of making up things that don't exist).

That really is a fascinating report. I suppose it is too much to hope that it will make the 8rs ask themselves why they are the only people who still believe discredited media reports?
I'm looking forward to reading much more about the matter in days to come.
ETA:
the McCanns continue to be
subjected to an array of online hate campaigns
Do the forkers and hounders get some kind of kick out of seeing themselves described like that, continually?
