BTW, Gonc putting words in the mouths of UK officials doesn't help his cause any; he does it several times in the course of his 'book'.

He also invents 'incidents' that never occurred, as with his outright LIE about the family liason officers, and one or two other matters.

Gonc must be praying he manages to dodge the libel court with the shirt still on his back, especially as the now-retired DCS Hamish Campbell has gone on the record and described the original investigation - Gonc's - as ATROCIOUS.

Now it was O Crime that allowed Goncalo Amaral to spout his mouth off about Porto being involved in the review.

So it was O Crime he was mouthing off in? What a surprise that is! No doubt it's just a coincidence that his latest new lawyer is also O Crime's legal representative....

Remember this rant from Gonc a couple of years ago;

Mr Amaral believes that the process will be reopened and "the material truth will be known" and is dismissive of the McCanns' petition for a review of the case.

1. I don't think much attention has been paid by the PJ/SY to the mistaken, but well-intentioned, sightings, has it - like the Leh incident, the Yard checked them at the time.

2. The McCanns have supplied SY/PJ with all the reports, etc., by the private detectives; that these have been used was confirmed last week.

3. If Gonc had a shred of decency, he would retract that LIE about the stamp. The situation has been made crystal-clear by the Portuguese judiciary, everyone, but the Gonc cult still believe that outright LIE.

Really, the Gonc cult would do well to spend the Bank Holiday going through all of Gonc's utterances, and cross-checking them with reality.

They'd see for themselves that he has 'reality issues'. No wonder Sources say he is a very, very worried man right now.

Interesting. As ever, time will tell.

The Operation Grange team have now identified sixty-seven “points of failure” in the investigation. Sixteen of which the Portuguese attorney has flagged for immediate follow up to save embarrassment and allegations of corruption in the initial inquiry.

Think it's a bit too late to prevent allegations of corruption in the original inquiry; the amount of confidential information that got blown off Gonc's desk, out the window, and into the hands of Portuguese tabloid journos and hatebloggers rather speaks for itself.

What about the bit about a Resort Staff Member, her Cell Phone an her Partner? I thought that was interesting. Especially since SY have been checking Cell Phone Pings and stuff.
