I fear the video conferences (Alipio Ribeiro, Melchior Gomes and Moita Flores) that were scheduled on the 19th (though Isabel Duarte told me both 19 and 20 were "hers"), almost inaudible in 2010, it would be better if we were two.

What I seem to know (the judge was speaking to the clerk) is that João Melchior Gomes (the public prosecutor who signed the AG report) and Alipio Ribeiro (the national director of the PJ who kicked out GA) are on GA's witness list.Careful ! I heard it, but could have heard erroneously. I'll confirm this next week.

There's some confusion about whether the hapless Ribeiro was appearing for the defence or prosecution. If Supersleuth Guedes has got this wrong, then people might like to reflect on just how much else she has got wrong.

There is certainly no sign of him on the McCanns' list of family, friends, and experts.

Just a short update. Anne advises that there were four witnesses heard today so will get a copy of the evidence up asap.

Alan Pyke, Melchior Gomes (who signed the AG report), Alipio Ribeiro (who kicked Amaral out) and Claudia Nogueira (from Lift Consulting, who spinned the McCann image for two years in Portugal), all witnesses for the prosecution.

Frankly, only a fool would get too excited about anything their eavesdropping Pretendy Court Reporter produces; she seems to have 'accuracy' issues.

Yes, we all do; he hadn't read the book. Personally, I'd believe the Star twitterer over her any time after this. There are very good reasons why court reporters are trained professionals, and not sticky-beaking mates of the accused.

From what I read in another forum, Anne is preparing the transcripts and will post them asap. It seems that they had to ask Alan Pike three times what his profession was!!! Also Melchior Gomes and Alípio Ribeiro were dismissed because neither of them had read the book nor had they seen the documentary and did not know why they were called as witnesses

Guedes spreading misinformation behind the scenes, is she? Or will she just be misremembering, as here:

A genuine, trained, real court reporter would be sacked for confusing defence and prosecution witnesses, and that is a perfect example of why amateurs shouldn't do it.

If she had written reports and made it clear they were strictly her own point of view, and were posted untouched and unedited, there would have been no problem, IMO.

However, she is claiming to be writing semi-official, quasi-legal Court Transcripts and they are being treated as such. Many of us KNOW she is omitting chunks of testimony which do not suit her agenda. And that's before Admin John has 'edited' them.
