Kate's pain should be a lesson for vile Madeliene McCann conspiracy theorists and haters

A split-second mistake has had devastating consequences for Madeliene McCann's distraught parents


There is a split-second in all our lives where if we had acted differently at that moment, our stories would have been entirely different.

But no sliding doors situation could have had quite such devastating consequences as it did for Kate McCann.

For now police believe she may have missed saving Madeleine from the hands of her abductor by just moments.

If only she’d walked a little quicker back to their apartment, she must think. If only she’d left the table a minute earlier.

Kate’s description on Crimewatch on Monday of the moment she realised her daughter was missing was harrowing to watch.



There are few parents who haven’t endured the heart-stopping moment when you look around and can’t see your child. But for those few minutes of panic to stretch into a lifetime of loss is too horrific to imagine.

To relive those moments must be agonising for Kate McCann.

She also knows her public appearance will have reignited the conspiracy theorists and haters who have been so vile to the family in the intervening years.

Yes, the McCanns made a terrible mistake leaving their daughter alone that night. But by goodness they have paid for it.

Let’s hope we really are one step closer to finding out what happened in that devastating moment back in 2007.

For the sake of her whole McCann family. But mostly, for the sake of Madeleine.

The couple’s situation is meat and drink to this ghoulish e-crew, something to get off on and feed off. They crave blood.

What kind of a kick do they get out of their holier, better than thou – or at least holier and better than the McCanns – sanctimonious rants?

And as they ring the phone-ins or log in to the chatrooms and drip their bile, do they really believe the McCanns haven’t endlessly beaten themselves up over all the ifs, buts and might have beens?

The police could not let this continue.  The haters can only blame themselves when some of them are hauled into court.  Instead of being a one off like Bennett, there will be more.

Considering how 'intelligent' they sometimes call themselves and pat themselves on the back for their 'hard word' in "solving" the crime.  They are as dumb as dumb can be.

Twitter is cooperating with UK law enforcement and Europeans don't have our amendments for protection. Twitter therefor do not have to inform the guilty parties their details have been handed over to UK officials.

Facebook also co-operate fully when UK (or other) police obtain a warrant or subpoena for access to a person's account. There is no obligation whatsoever on them to inform the account holder of the fact that they have handed over the full record of a person's account.
