The McCanns were taken in by this lowlife criminal, Halligen, just as the professionals in this kind of field were. It is hardly surprising that the McCanns on the advice of Kennedy were taken in when the Deputy Chief of the FBI or CIA and others of that level of expertise were conned as well. What do the ANTIs think the McCanns should have done that they did not do? If they had asked the highest level of the secret services whether they could trust Halligen those people would have said, "Yes!".

And just why are the haters so eager to support convicted criminals like Halligen, Gonzo and de Almeida?

I thought that the program was really good. I do think that not only were people impressed with Halligen, but also those he had surrounded himself with and who appeared to be okay?

I agree with LL in that he came across as a bit of a conman on screen. He was defending himself, after all.

What I found ironic, is that this proved a certain person wrong on so many points but that they both have something in common. It is the word con.

Well, we did know that they would be praising Halligan if they got half a chance.

Personally, I don't think he ripped off the McCanns by very much at all, albeit not for the want of trying. And he did lie about what he could do. But all water under the bridge now.
