Must say it sounds a bit unlikely to me. Not because Prince A. is a model of morality, but because Fergie famously moaned about how hopelessly dull he was, and more interested in golf than....anything else.

It does make the suit sound more outrageous doing it that way and perhaps thinking that he would want to settle rather than face that. Heap the pressure on......

Plus they always start out attempting to sue more people who will be eliminated before it ever sees a courtroom.

If it took place, the, er, liason seems to come under the heading of 'tacky' rather than illegal, as the woman concerned was 17 at the time, and he was old enough to be her father. Far be it for me to say anything un-PC about stupid men with more money than sense where pretty faces are concerned...

HM can console herself with the thought that it could have been worse. It could have been a bloke. Oh, sorry, that isn't PC either, is it?

Well, I don't know. But probably not. He isn't exactly stupid, and undoubtedly capable of getting a woman for himself.

But in London? No way. His mother would marmalise him.

Who knows, Sabot, British royals have been getting into trouble over over sleeping with people they shouldn't, for centuries. Though they generally did it with a bit more style - this all seems very tacky and sleazy.

A few things can be guaranteed, though. This is a civil case, so there should be screeds of lurid testimony and he said-she saids, and even more lurid headlines. And at the end of it all, no-one will know for sure what, exactly, it was all about.

And the lawyers will have got even richer.

There again, he may not have been involved at all. As Bonny said, it could have been worse.

You know, of course, that this is Conspiraloon Heaven? It will keep them occupied with frenzied, one-handed typing about Royals, Illuminati, etc., for months.

Well, that's certainly lurid. A bit hard to believe, though, as it doesn't involve golf. Now, if he was accused of having a mad gay fling with Tiger Woods.....

This all happened years ago from what I can make out, Sabot, and she was 17 at the time, which makes it tacky, sleazy and generally yucky, but not illegal. Who knows? Whatever was going on, the whole thing is tabloid heaven, as they can report all the gruesome, toe-curling, royal-embarrassing details legally.

Just seen the names of the people she is accusing - Alan Dershowitz????   Robert Maxwell's daughter?  Numerous prominent American politicians, powerful business executives, foreign presidents, a well-known Prime Minister, and other world leaders????   And 17 is under-age in Florida.   Oh, the PM, wonder who that is supposed to be.     LL

Well, there is no doubt that that Epstein character is a wrong 'un, he's done time for sex offences. As for the rest - who knows? I suspect it has little to do with 'sex slaves' and far more to do with the world's oldest profession.

Whatever was going on, IMO, Prince A would have been well advised to cut ties to Epstein after his conviction - there is NOTHING good to say about that sleaze. No doubt it will all come out in court - if it ever gets that far.

Better be blooming good.......as whoever it is won't stand much of a chance up against Dershowitz.

Bill Clinton was also named dozens of times in lawsuits against Epstein and was alleged to have flown on his private jet more than 10 times.

Dershowitz takes no prisoners, he goes straight for the jugular. He is highly respected - could this bimbo have been reading the Savile etc accusations over in the UK and seen a nice little earner on the horizon? LL

No, I don't think so, LL, I think some of these shenanigans have indeed been going on - it's a story as old as the hills, rich older men with more money than sense and attractive young women. What the whole story is, is another matter, and in theory, the court should sort that out. And doubtless money will feature in this.

Mind you, I could believe just about anything of Bill Clinton where sex is concerned.
