Frankly, erngath, I suspect that all those that have been sniping and criticising, would be hard pushed to waddle five hundred yards.

Is this a bad time to remind the Gonzo Fan Club what they posted last week, predicting what would happen?
I said it before, but will say it again. Kate is not going on any bike ride.

Kate McCann finishes charity bike ride with 'Madeleine on her mind'
18:56, 17 JUNE 2015

Liverpool mum of missing Madeleine McCann raises money to help families with missing relatives
Liverpool-born Kate McCann has described how her daughter Madeleine “was very much on my mind” throughout a tough 500 mile charity bike ride to help other families with a missing loved one.
Mrs McCann was greeted by her cheering husband Gerry and their two children as she completed the five-day Edinburgh to London challenge at the Tower of London today.
She was joined by up to 20 other cyclists on the bike ride to raise money for charity Missing People, of which she is an ambassador.
Mrs McCann said: “It’s such a great feeling to have achieved that.
Kate McCann (5th right) with her fellow riders after completing an Edinburgh to London bike ride to raise money for the Missing People charity
“We all know why we’re here, we know it’s such a good cause and that keeps you going whenever you’re going up a hill and you can’t see round that bend - you just keep thinking about those children.
“I know this won’t help Madeline but I’d hate to think that any other child would have to go through this and their family would have to go through what we’ve been through.
“Although Madeline has very much been on my mind through this I know that that is helping lots of other children.
“The charity is fantastic and we’ve all come to realise what a lifeline they are to many people.
“For the last 10 or 20 miles I felt quite emotional, I could feel it building up in my chest and then I saw (my family) waving, it was lovely to see them.”

500 Mile Cycle Challenge - Day 5 Nottingham to Letchworth to the Tower of London (Update 6)
The final leg of our epic journey. The team was pretty pumped up this morning, knowing that we'd come so far and the end was in sight.
After negotiating the rush hour traffic coming out of Letchworth we made our way through the Chiltern hills - a pretty and pleasant prelude before hitting the A1 and passing under the M25. The emotion of it all suddenly started to bubble to the surface when we stopped for a final lunch together in Highgate ( thank goodness for sunglasses!) Inevitably the last 8 miles of our journey meant gingerly working our way through London traffic - definitely not for the faint-hearted! The skills we'd picked up over the past five days were certainly put into practice at that point!
Shortly before 4pm we arrived at the Tower of London to cheers and waving flags and many welcome, familiar faces. Mission accomplished- and it felt good, very good.
It's been an incredible adventure. I feel very lucky to have been part of such an amazing team and to be able to do something so positive. A truly memorable life experience.
I'd like to thank my fellow team mates for their friendship, solidarity, determination and the many laughs along the way, the Ride2Raise support team for being simply awesome - the best of the best, and Daniel and Polly from Missing People for doing everything they could to make this journey as smooth and as fun for us as possible. Above all 'thank you' to everyone who has supported us over the past five days. The sponsorship money raised by the team so far has exceeded £40,000 which is an incredible amount and will help to man the help line at the charity for the next year. The number of people who have downloaded the Child Rescue alert app or signed up (http://childrescuealert.org.uk) and registering on line has also increased by another 5000 (thank you) and hopefully we can encourage more people will do so in the coming weeks.
And now I think we all need some sleep!! Thank you once again for your tremendous support.

@adrian5x5 @PhilipIndigo @mariaccnr @missingpeople << They are paying board, meals transport for all bikers. Prob a nett loss #mccann
They've got their hateblinkers on again, or they would know that the hotel group donated rooms and board - good publicity, and it gets written off in tax.
Other organisations did the same. The posts on Injustice give full details of all this. But doubtless the haters won't bother to read them, because accurate information gives them even less to b*tch about.

Isn't it wonderful? Seeing Kate with a broad smile on her face is such a welcoming sight. She really accomplished something her whole family and the charity can be proud of. Good for her!

Hi all...
Just received this back from Daniel at the Missing People charity.
Hi John,
Thank you very much.
The Missing People’s Cycle Challenge has a £199 registration fee and this covers the cost of the challenge. All fundraising including the minimum £2000 and any above more goes directly to our frontline services.
I hope this clarifies this and if I can help you further, please get in touch.
Kind Regards
Daniel Magson

Oh FFS, doesn't Slarti read his own forum?
It is explained there, perfectly clearly, that Park Hotels donated the accommodation to the charity - they get good publicity and can write it off against tax, so it's a win-win.
These people are so beyond stupid and ignorant, they shouldn't be allowed to vote. Though it does explain a lot...
And what's this sh*te?
Quote from: carlymichelle on Today at 09:51:48 AM
but but the mcanns are rich why cant kate mcann pay her own hotels etc?? or maybe just maybe the mcanns are NOT rich like the mcann supporters say they are??
Why on earth does that half-wit imagine the McCanns are 'rich'?
Or maybe anyone that isn't dependent on the State is 'rich' to her? It beggars belief that any sane person could imagine that NHS doctors are 'rich'. Though I have rather answered my own questions....
One never ceases to be amazed by the gross ignorance of the real world demonstrated by McCann-haters.

That charity thread has brought so many silly comments out. I thought some said they were teachers or lecturers or similar yet don't know what CEO's do. That is only one small example.
Do they really go out into the world outside or is it off limits to them?

Child Rescue Alert at Stobo
Published: 21 Jul 2015 08:300 comments
A COUPLE who launched a worldwide search for their missing daughter visited Peeblesshire to promote a new child rescue alert system.
Kate and Gerry McCann were among a group of 30 guests and supporters of UK charity Missing People at Stobo Castle for the first Child Rescue Alert dinner in Scotland.
Their daughter Madeleine went missing on a family holiday in Portugal eight years ago.
The local event was hosted by Stobo owner Stephen Winyard who is also a patron of the Child Rescue Alert system which is managed by the charity.
The Child Rescue Alert system, which is a partnership between CEOP, a command of the National Crime Agency, the charity Missing People and Groupcall, offers vital, rapid public outreach when a child is known to have been abducted or their life is believed to be at immediate risk.
Amber Alert, a similar system in the United States, has been responsible for finding over 750 child safe and well. In the past year, more than 280,000 people have signed up to receive free Child Rescue Alerts to their phones via sms, email and an app.
The aim of the event at Stobo was to raise funds and to encourage companies to commit to registering their colleagues and employees to the system.
Child Rescue Alert has so far been made possible thanks to support from players of People’s Postcode Lottery, who have awarded £225,000 to the project, allowing the Child Rescue Alert to launch last year.
The awareness event raised an impressive £17,700 with many of those present also pledging to encourage their colleagues to sign up to the Alert system.
Doubtless that will provoke a bilefest from the Gonzo fan club.
