This is way below what we are getting down here, overnight we had -11C, now we have -5C and the sun is shining!!!!    We have no rivers or lakes here, just a fish farm!!   LL

How strange.  UK & Ireland warmer than Greece?

We're maritime, Lily, so we generally get our weather from the West...the frozen landmass in Europe has weather coming in from the north-east.

It's quite mild here - well, about 5 or 6f, but still very damp, with cold weather coming in later in the week - the tail end of the blizzards on the Atlantic seaboard.

We had snow yesterday evening from 9pm to the end of the Orkney program.   Wasn't quite as cold overnight as it has been and the snow was just a covering which melted during the day.   Not expecting a cessation of the freeze before the start of next week.   LL

Well, about 2 hours (1pm CET) ago it started snowing here, not heavy so far but steady. Quite cold but not freezing. Morning we had rain, not heavy. Forecast is showing rain/snow mix later on into evening. At least we aren't having the dire weather that is further north and east. LL

We got about 3'' of snow overnight, LL, and a howling gale. It melted a bit during the day, but now the sun is going down, it's freezing again, and from the look of the sky, there's more to come.

I am staying in the warm....

I am tucked up in the study, wrapped up in my slanket, TV is offline as always happens when it snows or we get heavy rain cos the dish gets snarled up. However, I can get TV on the PC so no problems there. LL

So long as you are both okay.

Overnight snow, about 2" deep, but seems to be slowly melting as sun is up and sky is blue, temp 2C. LL

No more snow, but the temperature hasn't gone up at all.
