PAT BROWN.. See any differences!
Pat Brown gets it wrong again!
Now that Rocha Negro; the very reason for Kate and Gerry to chose this spot (Gawd knows why a view of a black rock should influence them!)
Pats photo, which is similar to ones that can be seen on google earth [if you set it up to show photos]
And another of the same spot in close up, Pat Browns pretendy "Rocha Negro". Taken from GE with thanks to Karaciov
NOW a genuine photo of Rocha Negro taken from GEarth with thanks to Hvar.
See the difference,, PAT, at the RH extreme of the rocks/cliffs?
Also a close up, thanks to PaulaEnc
See any differences Pat? Maybe your eyesight is not very good?
Apart from anything else Pat, the view that you show is 5 miles west of Rocha Negro, so you should have known that wasn't Rocha Negro after such a long drive.
The actual Rocha Negro would be a dot behind that great headland in your photo
YOU GOT IT ALL WRONG AGAIN PAT
So, I found no really good location within the ping area for Gerry to give Maddie a spiritual resting place. I did find an interesting spot, however, that I thought might have stood in nicely as it had a beautiful view which included the Rocha Negra in the distance.
And up at the top of a hill overlooking the spot, there appeared to be a cross which would lend some special religious significance, like God looking down upon Madeleine in her final resting place. This location, the Forte de Almadena, is open to the public down a short road that one can access after dark. During the day, there appear to be times when no one is there.
There are the remains of a fort and, nearby, odd mounds of soft dirt that actually already look like a set of graves. Retired British police officer, PM, and I brought out the metal detector and spade and investigated a number of them.

PAT BROWNS Words of wisdom:
YEAH! RIGHT!

/SNIP/
Then we drove up to look at the cross we saw on the hill; it turned out to be a windsock. So much for the religious significance, although, if we thought it was a cross, so could Gerry
YEAH! RIGHT!

Re: PAT BROWN.. See any differences!
I have struggled hard to try and post Google earth images of this fort and its location. After hours of trying, I have had to give up, but for anyone who is interested it is on a small cliff at the edge of the sea, and it is situated between Salema and Burgau. It is about 5 miles away, crow flies, from Rocha Negro and 4 1/2 miles from PdL.
There are about 50 villas about 400 metres, or so, away and the track down from these villas leads straight to this fort, the cliff walk, the sea and the beach at low tide
This is the area where the residents most probably would walk their dogs. Don't think it likely any bodies would be buried there Pat; not for long anyhow..
Pity you cant get things right Pat. It would be good to have someone solve this case and bring Madeleine back home to her Mummy and Daddy and her brother and sister.
Please try harder. Much Harder.

Re: PAT BROWN.. See any differences!
That's wonderful Bonny, thank you. The Fort is even bigger than I thought from the video.
If anybody is interested in the location relative to the Rocha Negro, it can be seen by using the interactive GEarth map on.
http://www.aportugalattraction.com/portugal-attractions/forte-de-almdena.htm
1) Click for the larger interactive map. [Suggest you detick the box underneath called *hotels* also]
2) Click on hybrid, then the map will make more sense.
The white balloon marks the fort. The left hand purple balloon marks Praia de Boca do Rio.
To the extreme right and just about off the main image you will see the bay sweeps round into a peninsular. That is Pat Browns * pretendy Rocha Negro *.
Just to the north of the fort is a network of roads with about 50 villas. It is about 400+ yards away. To the west of the fort and a hop, skip and a jump away is Praia de Boca do Rio.
So the fort isn't exactly isolated.
To see the real Rocha Negro you will need to zoom out
1) See the graduated slider (white) with a +sign at the top and a minus sign at the bottom.
Zoom out by clicking on the minus sign. Click it twice only
3) Grab the map by left cicking on it and dragging it.
Drag it so that the white Fort Marker is directly underneath the minus sign.
4) Luz (PdL) will appear towards the right of the map and further to the right of that you will see a fuzzy little blob. That is Rocha Negro. [pull the map image over again and zoom in, if you wish, to check that I am telling the truth about it being Rocha Negro
5) Compare the distance from the Fort in that little Fort de Almadena Bay to the peninsulars * Pretendy Rocha Negro * comparitive to the distance from the Fort to the real Rocha Negro.
Note the land in between that prevents the sight of the real Rocha Negro
And the "cross on the hill" that was one of these
or,
or,
Come on Pat, pull the other one. It has got bells on it
Pat Brown, you are a total embarrassment. You get nothing right, as far as I can see.
You seem to go out of your way to spread misinformation and disinformation, in fact.
I wonder why?
