As far as Amazon is concerned, I intend to take my money elsewhere. I can hardly believe that they are allowing this. Especially since most of the scum signed up for an account just to attack The McCanns. Amazon only need to look at when these people joined to know what is going on.

As long as people find Amazon a useful site for buying stuff, it will continue. There aren't enough 'concerned' citizens to make any kind of dent in their company, and anyway Amazon are only interested in how much money they can make from the site. So, I'm afraid we will just have to 'grin and bear it'. LL

Most of the human race is basically lazy, bonny, they take the path of least resistance. Ethical companies - how many of Joe/Joanna Public actually know what an ethical company is? So long as they get what they want, and so long as companies like Amazon make it possible for them to do just that, and are cheaper than going to a shop, they will use it. If all you have to do is fill up your online basket, key in your credit card details, then sit back and wait for it to be delivered to your door, they will use it. Saves getting the car out, the petrol etc .... LL

As far as anyone can make out, LL - bearing in mind it is hard to follow what ranting pitchforkers are on about - there was a group of Truth Seekers in some silly secret (or not ) site; some of the Amazon crew including Bret use it as their 'secret' platform for launching attacks on, say, the FindMadeleine FB.
Oh, and pretending to be Researchers and Profilers.
Well, Bret mouthed off on Amazon about how it was thanks to him that the FB was closed; it wasn't - the Researchers and Profilers would be well advised to look at the calendar if they want the real reason.
Bret topped that off by demanding, a la Laffin, that Clarrie sues him for something or other - why he thinks Clarrie is even aware of his existence is beyond me, but hey ho!
This all got a bit too embarrassing for the rest of them, as they like to claim they are 'reasonable debaters' and not a bunch of pitchforking loonies.

We've seen this time and again - they seem to think they have every right to demand 'Free Speach' for themselves whilst denying it to others.

Look at the way they were all high-fiving and whooping when the FindMadeleine FB throttled back a bit due to being short-handed over the summer.

The ghastly Bret claimed he had somehow forced the closure and they all cheered him on.

No wonder so many people are sick of them, and this notion they have that they are somehow entitled to inflict their madness on everyone else.

Mumsnet have banned me for saying that there is no evidence of an abduction on a Madeleine in India thread in their chat forums! I said absolutely nothing defamatory - only facts - this is absolutely outrageous!

And what is 'outrageous' about Admin kicking out someone whose views they find repellant?

What hypocrites they are - we've all seen what happens to anyone deemed an Evil Pro on MM - even Panda was getting the treatment from them last week.

I firmly believe in anyone's right to an opinion. I also believe in my right not to have to listen to them or engage with them if I don't want to.
