Portuguese Republic Assembly (AR) receives the conference 'Missing and Sexually Exploited Children'

The Office of Child Support will hold the sixth conference tomorrow 'Missing and Sexually Exploited Children' in the new Auditorium of the National Assembly.
The conference comes within the International Missing Children's Day and aims to promote debate on a new directive of the European Parliament and Council.

2011/92/UE The Directive refers to the fight against abuse and sexual exploitation of children and child pornography. The Office of Child Support since 2004 marks this day with various activities.

May 25 - VI Conference on Missing and Sexually Exploited Children

The next day May 25, International Day of Missing Children, once again, the Office of Child Support will remember all missing children by holding a conference to be held in the Auditorium of the New Parliament, between 9:30 a.m. and 18.00.

At the opening session, Dr. Manuela Eanes communication and will count with the Minister of Justice and Minister of Home Affairs, the Attorney - General's Office, the Justice Provider and the President of parliament.

In Portugal it was pointed out for the first time on May 25, 2004, the International Day of Missing Children, by the Institute of Child Support.

The origin of this date is based on the fact that on May 25, 1979 have disappeared a 6 year old, Ethan Patz in New York. In subsequent years, parents, relatives and friends gathered to mark the day of his disappearance, and in 1986, on May 25 wins inter-national dimension when President Reagan dedicated to all missing children.

This date has been indicated in several European countries, similar to what happens in Belgium, since 2002, when the Child Focus, Belgian association created by the father of a child murdered by Dutroux pedophile, decided to take this day by associating thus the trend begun in the United States.

The European Federation for Missing and Sexually Exploited Children, the Missing Children Europe, created in 2001, which integrates the IAC since its foundation, each year also marks the 25 May that day and recommends initiatives to national NGOs.

Organizations involved in this area have adopted the flower as a symbol of "forget me not.

The meeting - to be held for the sixth year - begins at 9:30 am in the Auditorium of the New Parliament, and ends after 18 hours, with a speech by the Minister of Solidarity and Social Security, Pedro Mota Soares.

Before him, speak multiple personalities divided into three panels: The New European Directive Against Abuse and Sexual Exploitation of Children and The Importance of Networks and Partnerships and Internet Safety (panel 1), NGOs and Practice IIA (panel 2) and the Contribution of Police Authorities (panel 3).

On the day of VI Conference about Missing and Sexually Exploited Children commemorates the third anniversary of the telephone line 11600, a European line for missing children launched on May 25, 2009.

After Greece Hungary, Portugal was the third country to establish this European number one with the help of the Office of Child Support. In 2012, the publicity campaign for the 11,600 (which already works for 16 countries) is enhanced by the accompanying video of these news.

In the Portuguese case, the line is free and serves 11,600 children and adults from any phone or phone that is in the national territory, whether through domestic or foreign operator roaming.

I see that, yet again, comments had to be closed because of the usual hatespam. No wonder the media - like everyone else - is sick to death of these people and their bottomless hatred.

The backlash by the haters is so very obvious. They could not stop if they tried as they must be wired in a faulty manner.

They're ranting and raving about Lorraine Kelly, yet again. Because of the Greek police apparently thinking the child may have been buried, accidentally or deliberately, under a pile of rubble, she said this:

Little Ben went missing on the Greek island of Kos when he was a blond toddler and his mother and her family have always been convinced he was kidnapped to order and is still alive.

This week, she was shocked by the news that Greek investigators may now suspect Ben is dead.

Astonishingly they have apparently claimed he is buried in rubble only yards from the house where he was last seen.

For them to have taken so long to produce this theory makes me think the Greek police are as incompetent as the buffoons in Portugal who made such a hash of the investigation into the disappearance of Madeleine McCann.

Every day disappear, on average, six children and adolescents in Portugal. Since January, police investigated 892 cases of missing children. Most boys and girls (869 cases) were found, but still need to know the whereabouts of the remaining 23. It was with the hope that his son Rui Pedro read the messages written by school students arrested in Matosinhos and white balloons, which Filomena Teixeira participated yesterday in a symbolic initiative that brought together five thousand children.

"When I dropped the balloons was thinking about my son. I hope that he can see the message. That's what moves me," said the CM. "Every year that passes is more painful, but on the other hand, I feel more together. There was a fight 14 years alone," he said.

I doubt if Ms Kelly would WANT to enter the premises of a Portuguese tabloid, given their fondness for reporting on sex fairs and prostitution, complete with explicit pictures and videos that would be put on the top shelf in the UK.
