I must say, I take a slightly different view on
this. You see, when I looked through the McCanns'
evidence, which I read -- and it's absolutely chilling
evidence, in my view, because I wasn't as aware of the
comprehensive nature of the grievances that had been
done to them -- and then I look at the code, I think:

number one, accuracy, breached;

number three, privacy;

number four, harassment;

number 5, intrusion into grief or shock;

number 9, reporting of crime;

number 10,
clandestine devices and subterfuge.


Not all of those things are illegal and nor are they
a matter for the police. Indeed, we would not want the
police policing a number of these issues, but it in no
way makes up, removes, lessens the harm and grief that
the McCanns felt adding to the grief they felt about the
disappearance of their daughter, and so therefore
I don't think this can be just put down to "let's just
get the police to do their job" in the way that some
witnesses have suggested.

No, he certainly didn't pull his punches - a refreshing change, IMO.

You wonder what actually has to happen for it to sink in with the forkers that they are WRONG and IN THE WRONG.

Legally, morally, factually, in the real world, they are WRONG.

No-one agrees with them, no-one supports them, not in the UK Government or the Portuguese Government. Not in the UK police or the non-Gonc PJ - which is the vast majority of the PJ.

The UK media doesn't support them, the Portuguese media doesn't support them, apart from ghastly tabloids like CdM, the rag which makes the Star look intelligent.

The only support they are ever going to have is from attention-seeking fourth raters.

Now, it's too late for them to come to their senses and admit that they have been wrong all along, they have too much emotionally invested in their hate-the-McCannsfest.

But if they had any decency, they would at least knock it off, and if they can't do anything to help, then stop hurling abuse, lies and libel at the parents and friends of Madeleine McCann.

It's repellent to watch, frankly - but at the end of the day, it is their loss, if their irrational hatred is the most important thing in their lives.

They really would be much happier and healthier if they came to their senses and grasped that the only thing the McCanns want to do is find their abducted child. Then they could join the rest of the human race, who hope that one day, Madeleine will be found, hopefully safe and well, and reunited with her family.

Seriously, what has to happen, what has to be said, for the forkers to grasp that they are WRONG? Oh, and after they carried on attacking Mrs Chamberlain, despite a coroner's report, despite everything, they cannot really complain about being called pitchforkers ever again.
