It's often forgotten that that risible, ridiculous DVD is part of the court action.

During his stint heading the inquiry, the Sunday Mirror caught him enjoying regular boozy ­lunches, one of which lasted more than three hours.

this proves, beyond any doubt, that gonçalo amaral never cared for Madeleine, he was only interested in what we know: to make fame and fortune at the expenses of innocents, at the expenses of an innocent child, using dirty tricks: smears, lies, defamation, just to feed his disgusting purpose. But this is what to expect from a corrupt, incompetent, liar, sacked fat pj: called gonçalo amaral amaral.

We have all spent five years wondering about this, Pedro. He would never have gotten away with it in Britain, Free Speach or not, because no Publisher or Book Seller would have touched it. And apart from anything else, Amaral's Book is littered with lies and distortions gained from abusing the job that The Portuguese State paid him to do in serving The People.
As for Amaral's motives, Money and Fame are obvious, but his Morals deserve some scrutiny. How could he so shame himself? For this is what he has done.
He ran an appallingly biased investigation, got the sack from that, and then proceeded to make money from a child that he let down by his disgraceful predetermination of the guilt of her innocent parents. He is everything bad there is to be in a Policeman.
