Spent 200,000 euros on phone and was suspended

An official of the municipal council of Burgos, Spain, was suspended after having spent more than 200 thousand euros in phone service.

According to a statement issued by the Office of Communication of the municipality, the employee was suspended while investigations take place.

The worker, head of the Department of Industrial Engineering and Information Technologies, is suspected of having consumed that amount between April and May 2011.
