We went up to Perth for a fleeting visit on Friday/Saturday and then found out the guy had attacked a woman in her bed in Perth 10 days ago.

How a guy with his rap sheet can be kept in a open prison is way beyond me.

People in the area were terrified, Rhodes - he seems to have managed to head south again, which isn't good, as he will be less conspicuous. Agree, he should never have been in an open prison.

It was 10 days ago wasn't it? Was it local knowledge/reported in local press or was it kept quiet?

They must be desperate to get him if they've gone national with his pic and details. I wonder how many freaks walk among us that we know nothing of...........

As as aside Bonny, we seen a sign saying Perth is the first cittaslow city-----is that something to do with being twinned with a city in Poland or something?

He's a real nasty bit of work, Rhodes, and it's a pity he wasn't caught in Perth and surroundings, where everyone knew he was on the loose - complete with photo.

I had to look cittaslow up, it's something to do with cities with a good quality of life, local produce, etc apparently, and Perth was one of the first in the UK...
