Still absolutely pissing down here, and Rom and I have come to an arrangement. He pisses on the floor and I mop it up, because neither of us wants to get drenched. This is all getting a bit beyond a joke. Shades of my first ever year here nineteen years ago when I though that it would never stop.
But take heart. There is only so much water to go around, and it will move somewhere else in a minute.

Good morning - and a Happy New Year to one and all. We are watching the assorted documentaries on Austrian TV that proceed the New Year's Day Concert from my beloved Vienna; we get to see the whole concert with no adverts! So, have a nice day, so far here we have 3C, blue sky and a big yellow thing just hanging there .... LL

We've got that big yellow thing as well. What does it mean? Are we all Doooooomed?

I can report a sighting of the big yellow thing, too.....is it an omen?

Right, I've had a good look at it and it's definitely moving. Could this be The Ark come to rescue us all? What can we offer it? Does it want human sacrifices? I've got a little list.
Should we light a bonfire beacon?
No, perhaps not. No point in my garden which is awash. And who wants to share an ark with a dinosaur, or Tiny Bonnet? I think I'll wait a couple of days, and build an edifice while I'm waiting.

Must be a sign summer is on the way, Sabot - just look at all these happy people splashing around in the Forth!

A very belated Happy New Year from me.

I haven't been very sociable posting on the forum as I have been all over the place.

My daughter got married in L.A. which was lovely. She looked beautiful and everything was just great.

Typical for us, someone forgot the rings for the ceremony, so......had to go back and get them. It only delayed matters for about 30 minutes.

Forgot to say, strangely enough, we also have that big yellow thingy.
