Sad that they are dead. However, it is a fact of life that climbers will climb and skiers will ski even if there are warnings re bad weather, it seems to be that old belief 'It will never happen to me' coming into play. I used to ski and climb and I would never do so if there were signs up all over the place that the weather was about to deteriorate. But maybe I am more cautious? LL

I certainly wouldn't go climbing in Glencoe in the winter, it can be bleak enough in the summer.

But, you can't stop people from being adventurous. A tragic ending.

Sorry to say this....or stupid enough.. Not only have they lost their own lives now after not heading warnings, but also put at risk those trying to find them.. Beggers belief sometimes

Agree, but I don't know how you can stop them, muratfan. Anyone who's been through Glencoe even in the rain knows how bleak it is, so why ANYONE would want to go climbing there in this weather, I do not know.
