Every few days we read about yet another father being arrested for paedophilia/child pornography! Do the McCann supporters believe married doctors are totally exempt from such perversities, even when a fellow doctor has voiced grave concerns about a close friend of Gerry McCann?

Seems like Haverns feeling left out, and wants to join Bennett in court. I just sent this to CR as they don't seem satisfied with just Ed Smethursts writ.

Not quite. This type of application is one often used for injunctions or restraining orders (where it is heard without notice to the defendant because it would be detrimenatal to alert them). It usually involves denial or rights to continue an action.

Notes on it below (the best I could find on the internet - sorry) provide more detail if anyone is interested.

If Smethurst wants damages then Bennett will be called, and it will be in open court.

Therefore I think Smethurst at this stage is requiring an injunction to prevent Bennett from continuing his libel.

Put up or shut up time for Bennett.

Without seeing the comments it is hard to say how libellous they are, but if the case is proved, Tony could lose his Home because he has been Carter Rucked before by the McCanns.

Edward Smethhurst is a Director of No Stone Unturned and a Corporate Lawyer for Brian Kennedy,
why use an expensive firm like Carter Ruck at £600 an hour when the maximum sum requested
is £100,000.? Carter Ruck must be rubbing their hands in glee, they have made a Fortune out of
the disappearance of Madeleiene. I just wonder if his Legal Fees come out of the fund.


Look, for starters, could you silly people please take the McCanns out of the equation? This has nothing whatsoever to do with them; it doesn't involve them in any way.

Why wouldn't Mr Smethurst use Carter Ruck? They are first class at what they do, and he is extremely rich

Panda has also succeeded in libelling Carter Ruck - well done Panda!

It has been explained to all of them, over and over again, that they do not take payment from the Fund; it is a matter of record that Ms Hudson and Adam Tudor work for the McCanns

Finally, the comments.

They are disgusting, and are outright libel.

It is being widely rumoured that this whole episode was a set-up, and it is being speculated that one of the reasons Bennett is doing the Chicken Dance is that ISPs have been passed to CR by Facebook, ahead of the court case.

Time will tell on that one.

It is none of Panda's business if Mr Smethurst spends money on lawyers to put an end to Bennett's lies, smears and harrassments; Bennett should have thought of all this before he started.

Oh Dear, I did so like my interpretation better than yours. But no doubt you are right.
So, we are never going to see Bennett nailed to the wall. He will cave in. But this, for Christ's sake, is why he keeps on getting away with it.

Yup; he got TWO letters on August 4; he didn't tell Havern about the second one.

The second one in which he was told to clean his mess up NOW.

He told CR he couldn't do anything till he came back from his hols....

He was still posting and twitting on August 5th.

CR got, I am sure, many, many screencaps as proof of all this.

Havern saw the SECOND letter on a blog on August 6th, and hastily removed the thread. And both the, Where's the thread, threads.

Bennett's reply to CR is a tissue of lies, as CR will be aware, having been kept informed of all this in real time.

Anyway, Bennett was only in Wales, he wasn't up the Amazon or anything.

I am pretty sure the internet is freely available in Wales.

Bennett needs to answer one or two questions. Like,

IF HE WAS SO CONCERNED AND APPALLED BY WHAT HE CLAIMS TO HAVE SEEN - THEN WHY DIDN'T HE GO STRAIGHT TO THE POLICE? WHY POST IT ON HAVERN?
