Detained in Oporto fake PJ inspector guilty of fraud

The Judicial Police announced on Monday the arrest of a man who, posing as a police inspector that will have practiced repeatedly crimes of aggravated fraud since April last year in Porto.

In a statement, the PJ stated that the detainee, 40, is suspected of the crime of aggravated fraud and usurpation of functions.

"Claiming false quality inspector PJ and making their victims believe they had special contacts and facilities from various official entities that could help in the solvency of debt, as well as in obtaining loans repayable", the detainee will illegitimately obtained at least two people, different amounts of money, an overall value that PJ estimates exceed 40,000 euros.
