Bradley Manning found not guilty of aiding the enemy and espionage but guilty on 20 other counts.   Kind of destroys Assange's fear of facing the death penalty if he were to be extradited to the US, as if the actual perpetrator is not convicted on the main charges nor would Assange be as he was not the instigator.  LL

I had a feeling that they would not be able to make the very serious charges stick as he had already confessed to at least 20 other charges. But it ford put a different slant on the claim by assange and snowden that they would face the death penalty if they were extradited to the US. Puts Putin in a bit of a quandary doesn't it, as his original reason for allowing snowden to stay was, as I recall, the possibility that the US would torture him first and then execute him. It'd all a bit of a tangle, isn't it? LL
