I think it is much more serious than that, Lily. The first supposed sighting wasnt actually all that important. It is where Madeleine was taken after the second sighting that matters. But Amaral didnt want to concentrate on that. It was Gerry, okay. Who ever looked into where she might have been taken after that.
For sure she was taken somewhere. And I very much doubt that it was to her death. No bloody paedophile runs around a small village with a small child if his only intention is to abuse and kill her. He would simply have abused her and then killed her.

True, Sabot. However alcoholism is a nasty disease that causes mayhem to other people. The person so diseased doesn't care about anyone or anything else in their lives except their own needs. He doesn't care about bills as his drinking needs are more important.

He ticks all the boxes for a classic alcoholic. If he has sought treatment, he will still be classed as an alcoholic, as in a recovering one, til the day he dies.
