Last year 432 people were abducted , kidnapped or taken hostage . These crimes increased 3.1 percent compared to 2012 ( 419 cases ) , says the annual report of Homeland Security . It seems that their whole policing/justice system needs a complete overhaul. It's not working very well at the moment from what we have seen. Look at how long the libel trial has been taking as only one example. Disgraceful.

Almost 8500 children and young people were removed from families
Numbers are relative to last year. There are more than 2506 cases are being followed.

The Minister of Solidarity and Social Security delivered this Wednesday in Parliament, the annual report of characterization of situation for care of children and young people. The data relating to 2013, are clear and show that the number of cases of risk has declined, but even so, there were 10951 children and young people characterized by safety and security services.

Altogether, according to the official report referring to last year, 8445 youth and children were removed from families and placed in a position to host. In the same year of 2013, 2506 children and young people ceased host situation, being accompanied on his return to a 'normal' life situation.

Most children and young people at risk are welcomed in temporary centers or childhood homes in Youth. Are 89% of the cases so treated by the state, with only 4.4% in the foster care families.
