Clifford is sentenced to eight years prison and ordered to pay £55,000 in costs for the prosecution.

Thanks, LL. That's a hefty sentence - I haven't really been following it, as I could happily live my life without hearing ANYTHING about his willy.

The evidence seemed sound, not just he said-she said, and he seems to have been an arrogant so-and-so through the trial, so he hasn't much to complain about, IMO.

From what I can see, Lily, though I own up to not paying too much attention. He won't suffer too much in jail, he will doubtless be sent to an open prison, it's more likely to be his spectacular fall from grace that's the real punishment?
