The unintended consequences of Amoral's stunt
Following on from yesterday, Amoral's vindictive stunt will have been seen by even more people around the globe.
That does not mean what the hounders, haters, forkers and generally ignorant think it does. Here's one for you....
In reality it means that even more people in more places will have seen for themselves the embarrassing train wreck that is Amoral. Which in turn translates to even more people than before feeling compassion for the McCanns. They will have tremendous sympathy for them in the face of said train wreck. Who wouldn't except fellow hounders, forkers et al?
I do so hope that more people look at the forums of said hounders et al and see for themselves what Amoral has caused.
They will see nothing to be proud of.
I do so hope that this generates a new round of money for the Fund as after vindictiveness such as that displayed by Team Amoral, that is what typically follows. Before you start with your typical jealous rants, it will be from public who really care.

Re: The unintended consequences of Amoral's stunt
The Gonzo fanz are utter fools, Lily, cheering and whooping their unsavoury idol's latest stunt. They have NO concept of what the consequences are likely to be for Gonzo, in the big wide world where it counts.
Their 'opinions' aren't worth a damn, especially as they are founded on ignorance, propaganda and outright lies. Do they really expect anyone sane, with a grasp of reality, to pay the slightest bit of attention to them?
They're of no more importance than those nasty, dirty mad people you see shouting at passersby in cities. That's them.
Tony's take:

Quite. Never mind, Gonzo has his fan club to comfort him and stroke his ego when he wakes up and realises the only person responsible for his ruin is - himself.

Spot on, Tony. His useful idiot fanz are either useful idiots or covertly out to harm his campaign.
Either way, he can't lose.

It's stunning that his fanz are even going along with his desperate gibbers about coffins, instead of facing the truth about their idol.

Oh look! According to a hohonumty, he's still mouthing off - he's started on Scotland Yard now.

Goncalo Amaral appeared on Portuguese television on lunchtime news saying he thought the Scotland Yard investigation was just about getting the parents off the hook - a farce. I found this rather depressing . What are your thoughts ?

Re: The unintended consequences of Amoral's stunt
I can't do links but both the Scottish Daily Record and the Scottish Daily Express had their front pages emblazoned with Amaral's despicable court behaviour and his revolting "coffin" theory. This is unusual as many times a Madeleine headline in the English press is not repeated here.
Most folk know him as the disgraced policeman but now they will be even more aware of his vile reputation.

Thanks, erngath, I didn't think to look at them, as you say, there isn't usually the same coverage.
Quote from the Record:
http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/gerry-kate-mccann-furious-claims-3707478
Kate and Gerry McCann told of their anguish after disgraced detective Goncalo Amaral threw yet more hurtful allegations at them.
The former police officer claimed the couple could have hidden their daughter Madeleine’s body inside the coffin of a woman, who was due to be cremated, in a church near where the three-year-old vanished.
And he today compounded their misery by sacking his lawyer moments before the pair arrived at his libel trial in Lisbon, delaying the hearing for a fourth time.
Kate said outside court: “Every time he postpones the case it brings us more pain and distress. We just want justice. This is not fair.”

'We just want justice' Fury of Madeleine McCann's parents as £1m libel trial delayed
Kate and Gerry McCann have accused a former policeman for causing them "more pain and distress" after he delayed their libel action against him.
No, it doesn't do much for Amaral, does it?

What on earth do the powers that be in Portugal think of his mad ramblings in the face of this global adverse publicity?

England fans' Euro 2004 riot trial resurrected
BY CARRIE-MARIE BRATLEY, IN NEWS · 19-06-2014 14:16:00 · 0 COMMENTS
Twenty-five British football fans are due to appear in a Portuguese court at the beginning of next month after being summoned to the Algarve, where they will be tried for their alleged part in
rioting in the city of Albufeira during the Euro 2004 football championships a decade ago.
More at:

In the UK, an affray like that would have been dealt with by the local courts ASAP, not dragged on for TEN YEARS.
Ridiculous. This is still fresh in many minds:
Briton Garry Mann, who was accused by Albufeira court of being a chief instigator in the riots, made international headlines when he accused Portuguese authorities of an unfair trial.
Mann, who was tried and convicted by Albufeira court in 48 hours, was sentenced to two years in prison for his role in the clashes but maintained his innocence throughout.
He was deported from Portugal to the UK allegedly on the understanding that if he went voluntarily, he would not have to serve his prison sentence there
And who can forget Portugal trying to convict a UK citizen of a crime he had previously been cleared of?

British man faces extradition to Portugal
Graham Mitchell acquitted of attempted murder 17 years ago, but Portuguese authorities want to extradite him for a retrial
It's a pity Portugal didn't put as much effort into finding the killers of victims of muggings. Or the scum that attacks the children of holidaymakers in their beds. Or the killers of women who 'commit suicide' by staving their own heads in with axes. Four times.
And its courts really need to do something about convicted perjurers that make a mockery of their legal system by doing runners from courtrooms.
