http://www.infowars.com/mexico-charges-americans-for-crossing-border/
U.S. citizens entering Mexico on foot are being charged a $28 fee as part of a new pilot program that aims to track travelers throughout the country.
That's really rubbing it in. Russia, China, Iran and others must be ROFLMAO-ing at Obama behind the scenes.

Re: America goes to the polls
Of course! We will see what kind of a backbone the GOP have when it comes to funding to get it done.
The person who wrote this said it well....
President Obama lays out the new steps he's taking to fix our broken immigration system.
The Immigration system is not broken, it's the enforcement of immigration laws that is broken.
That is it in a nutshell. The enforcement should come first (including border security) and then the people would have more stomach for the rest.

Re: America goes to the polls
No, you haven't, Sabot.
Long story short, Obama has ripped up the US Constitution and gone over everyone's head to legalize 5 million illegal immigrants - supposedly 5 mill, but the reality is probably double that.
And nationwide race riots are about to erupt, having been stirred up by Obama and his chums, whatever the Ferguson verdict is.
He's one evil barsteward. IMO.

Re: America goes to the polls
No you haven't, Sabot. The border agents were not allowed to do their jobs properly to begin with. To be fair, Bush didn't do all he could there either but it was better than it is now.
To be fair to the American people, the border should be made secure. This has been promised over and over and not kept.
The mantra was that they would secure the border and then do amnesty (but it was called something else, so as not to upset the taxpayers).
Just read your post, Bonny. It was stated several years ago that there were an estimated 11 million illegal aliens in the country but they have been pouring over the border ever since then. They want the number to sound more reasonable than it actually is. In reality, it is an invasion if you think that the numbers top 30 millions or so.......

Can you imagine a patriotic leader that loved his country and its people doing this? Someone like, say, Putin? No, of course he wouldn't - enough said.

Re: America goes to the polls
Jobs and money, Sabot. It's a very long time since the US did much manufacturing - go and look at some pics of Detroit to see what has happened.
Bottom-level jobs like working at McDonald are now being taken by unemployed graduates. Fewer and fewer working taxpayers are supporting, in considerable comfort, more and more unemployed - or unemployable. Also, Obama has wrecked the US healthcare system, which is a story all of its own.
The Obama administration has been keeping all this afloat by printing money, and that's not going to end well. Without even mentioning the vast sums of money that have been thrown away regime-changing the Middle East and Ukraine. And because so little is made in America now, Chinese manufacturers have more than filled that gap, with an outflow of money from the US.
Sure, there's lots of empty space, but people can't live on fresh air.

Re: America goes to the polls
Yes there is, Sabot. It's called law and order and why on earth should the American people who work very hard and have many financial difficulties themselves, especially after the economic bust, fund it?
For instance, young children are going without food and are homeless. They should come before them.
Past immigrants had to apply to come here legally and not just show up and expect everything given to them. Back then they would have been kicked out pronto.
The amount of people I know who have been hit by drunk illegal drivers is nobodies business. Some killed and some left in dreadful conditions. They don't bother with things like car insurance.
Of course there is a minority who are trying and those are the ones would should be considered but the rest? They are drug pushers, thieves, rapists and all the criminal hard core rest.
Yes, I feel very strongly about this.

Re: America goes to the polls
True about fresh air, Bonny.
Did I read somewhere that this was the way for China to take over America? I seem to remember reading this some considerable time ago, years, in fact.
America sold out to China, was what it said.

Re: America goes to the polls
China already owns huge chunks of America, Sabot. Remember the stand-off at the Bundy ranch? Corruption at its finest. The local senator, the vile Harry Reid - an Obama crony - had sold off huge chunks of land to a Chinese solar energy company, and wanted the Bundy ranch for a solar farm.

So if America hadn't done this there would have been more jobs, both for the poor and immigrants? Or is this too simplistic.
China is in this for China.

That is actually the correct position for ANY nation to take, Sabot. It is, unfortunately, a long time since Obama did anything to benefit America. In fact, I can't think of a single thing he has done.....

Re: America goes to the polls
Something's just dawned on me, that Obama is playing on....
In UK politics, you lose an election, you're out of office almost instantly. You're an MP and lose, it's over as soon as the declaration is made.
UKIP's newest MP was sworn in at the Commons only a few hours after he won Rochester.
Margaret Thatcher was ejected from No 10 as soon as she lost the confidence of her own party. But in the US, it seems to take forever for the changeover - they're talking about it being January till the newly elected Senators take their seats. And it takes two months to change presidents, not two days.
And why is that crook Holder still in office, not in jail?
Am I right in thinking that Obama is exploiting this time-lag for all it's worth, Lily?

Re: America goes to the polls
Just think, Lily, if you hadn't done that 'rebelling' stuff, now you'd have a head of state that DIDN'T chew gum at state dinners, or take selfies at memorial services...
And a PM that would be removed from office if he decided to make himself above the law and parliament and rule by decree...

Of course. A proper queen and royal family.
Oh, that reminds me. I think you forgot that gaffe of his when at Buckingham Palace making a toast to the Queen but unfortunately the National Anthem played at the same time?

Re: America goes to the polls
Argh, not available in the UK! I did find this report on it, though...
http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2011/05/25/obamas-toast-to-the-queen-triggers-awkward-orchestral-moment/
he president and the orchestra at Buckingham Palace this evening were a bit out of synch.
When the president toasted the Queen the orchestra misunderstood a pause and what seemed to be a cue from the president for “God Save the Queen” to begin playing.
“Ladies and gentlemen please stand with me and raise your glasses as I propose a toast,” the president said, putting down his note cards and grabbing his glass. “To her majesty the Queen.”
The president paused, the guests stood, and the orchestra prepared to play.
But the president wasn’t done speaking.
“The vitality –“ the president said before the orchestra began.
Then the familiar tune – you might know it better as “My Country ‘Tis of Thee” – started up.
The president kept going: “ — of the special relationship between our peoples and for the words of Shakespeare to this blessed plot, this earth, this realm, this England,” the president said as the awkward moment played out.
The Queen looked ahead as the UK anthem played.
“To the Queen,” the president finally said.
Probably HM's revenge for him returning the bust of Churchill and sending her an ipod of his tedious speeches.

April 2009: Obama gives Queen Elizabeth an iPod
White visiting the Queen, the Obama family gave her an iPod, prompting raised eyebrows from the British Press. The MP3 player came pre-loaded with photos from President Obama’s inauguration and audio files of the president’s speech as a senator to the 2004 Democratic National Convention and his 2009 inauguration address.
The queen reportedly already had an iPod.
