Google sees the Loch Ness Monster
Doodle celebrates 81 birthday of the most famous photograph of 'Nessie'.
The iconic image of a snake emerging in Loch Ness, Scotland, already has 81 years and Google has decided to honor her.
Doodle creator of Tuesday was inspired by drawings of boats and turned the monster in a submarine. The logo of 'Google' is hidden in the gears.
Allegedly taken by Colonel Robert Kenneth Wilson, the April 19, 1934, the iconic image created one of the great myths of our time
There are several known stories around this monster, but in 1994, a man who was with Wilson, at the time, said the photo was nothing more than a game. In the book Nessie: The Surgeon's Photograph Exposed, it is explained that the 'monster' was just a toy.
Still, enthusiasts argue that the monster is real and there are over a thousand sightings on site, making it a Scottish tourist attraction. Still others argue that the Loch Ness is in fact a female, the 'Nessie'.
