As one who lost 6 family members at Mauthausen, which was liberated 70 years ago last Sunday, killed not for being Jews, they were not, but for being something the Nazis greatly feared - teachers, actors, intelligensia - I am in two minds about a very old man being tried when a few of the perpetrators of more horrific acts than being a 'book-keeper' are still free, mainly in South America, though some have actually 'hidden in plain sight' in parts of Europe since the end of WW2. I will be honest, that one makes me very uneasy too, LL. This man wasn't hiding, he had spoken out about the horror of the camps before, and to me, it smacks of vengeance, not justice.

I can acceopt someone like Klaus Barbie or Eichmann being brought to justice, but everyone agrees this man was not hands on involved in the genocide, he was a clerk, a book-keeper, nothing more. What about the collaborators in other countries who managed to evade justice? I don't know if he was at Mauthausen when my relatives died, if he was I forgive him. Thanks, LL, Jane's story isn't widely known - and it should be.
Contrast that with the teenage Soros' activities in Hungary...

There is a part of the story that is synonymous with Soros.
