A Mexican prosecutor says DNA tests on a girl taken south of the border eight years ago is a to match the U.S. mother who has been searching for her for eight years.
The revelation comes after the wrong child Alondra Luna, 14, was torn from her family in April after Dorotea Garcia mistakenly thought it was her long-lost daughter.
Jose Martin Godoy Castro said on Thursday tests show that Alondra Diaz is the child of the Houston mother, who was taken to Mexico by her father Reynaldo Diaz without consent at the age of four.

That judge that originally had the wrong girl grabbed is, frankly, an idiot.
The girl and her family had asked for a DNA examination before she was sent to Texas, but the judge said that was not within her authority and declined to order the test.
