Maddie still alive say Kate and Gerry
MADELEINE McCann’s parents have been given fresh hope she is alive after Australian police said a child’s body found in a suitcase was not her

Det Supt Des Bray said Madeleine was among 43 missing children worldwide who had been eliminated as the victim.
A source close to the McCanns said last night: “They are naturally relieved. It gives them renewed hope that their daughter could still be out there and could be found alive.
“But their hearts go out to the parents who have lost their child in what appears to be the most awful circumstances.”
Kate and Gerry, both 47, had been anxiously waiting to hear if the dead girl was their daughter.
Det Supt Bray, of South Australia Police, yesterday said: “I can confirm that Madeleine McCann has been totally excluded as a potential victim. UK police have been advised.”
The friend of the McCanns, from Rothley, Leics, added: “There had been mounting speculation, mainly from the public, that the body could have been Madeleine’s.
“Kate and Gerry were kept informed of developments through Scotland Yard who had been liaising with police in Australia.
“They kept a dignified silence throughout.”
Australian police have received 511 calls via Crime Stoppers since they revealed the girl’s remains had been found.
A post mortem suggested she was aged two to four when she was killed as long ago as 2007, the year Madeleine vanished from her family’s holiday apartment in Portugal. The official Find Madeleine Campaign website, supported by the McCanns, last night posted a reference to the unidentified body in Australia.
The online message read: “Families of children who have gone missing during this time frame must wait for the identification process to work. I would imagine they are in agony at the possibility this could be their precious little girl.”
The McCanns’ spokesman Clarence Mitchell said: “The matter is in the hands of the Met Police.”

Re: Star - 'Madeleine not child in Australia'
The 'mounting speculation' wasn't from the general public - they have better things on their minds.
No, it was from the disgusting ghouls in the Gonzo fan club, that have been in a frenzy of one-handed typing and shameful speculation all week.

Oh, McCann-haters don't care about the families of missing children! All they care about is getting their jollies playing armchair defective.
