David Cameron will visit Portugal and Spain this week as he seeks to accelerate his attempts to renegotiate Britain’s relationship with the EU ahead of a referendum on British membership of the bloc.
The UK prime minister is holding talks with Pedro Passos Coelho, his Portuguese counterpart, before heading to Madrid to meet Mariano Rajoy, the Spanish premier.

Downing Street said the round of diplomatic conversations came as technical talks on the renegotiation were now “under way”.
Mr Cameron’s key demands include an opt-out of the core EU aim of “ever closer union”, safeguarding the City of London and boosting the sovereignty of national parliaments.
Another of his main requests is a cut in benefits, designed to “curb EU immigration”, an increasingly acute domestic issue after net immigration reached a record annual high of 330,000 last week — more than triple the government’s target.
Theresa May weighed into the debate about rising immigration in the UK on Sunday with a call for European incomers to be barred unless they already have a job lined up.

Officially, Sábado says “the conversation between the two heads of government will involve European questions at a time that Passos Coelho has reinforced his role in the EU, particularly calling for rapid reforms to European institutions”.

Cameron's visit with the Portugal counterpart has to be on pretext of some official purpose. Since even the journalist who wrote that article is unable to find out/know the official purpose of the visit, it is anyone's guess what the true purpose of the visit is.

The only reason citizen churnalist and hounder Donn was 'unable' to find out the official purpose of the visit is that she was too lazy, or too ignorant, to do the most basic fact-checking.
