There is a cruel streak inheritent in all creatures and it seems to me the higher the species, the worse it is. Humans are the only animals who kill their own for gain. I know the big cats kill the cubs of a defeated enemy but that is for their own safety as cubs grow up and could demand vengeance. Man is the only primate that actually starts wars and slaughters homo sapiens wholesale; who has ever heard of gorilla genocide by gorillas? But we know of genocide by warring human tribes, don't we?
