The 'secret' 9/11 report on Saudis

What’s inside the censored secret 28 pages of the 9/11 report? Secretive report has been locked away for years.. but may be shared with the world soon
FOR thirteen years, classified 9/11 documents, known as the “28 pages”, have been kept under lock and key, with just a handful of eyes having the opportunity to see what’s inside.
In 2004, the US Senate Select Committee on Intelligence produced an 838 page report outlining the events leading up to the September 11, 2001, attacks.
But one giant piece of the puzzle was missing — the final chapter — which was blanked out by the Bush administration for reasons of “national security”.
Known to contain vital information pertaining to the attacks, both the George W. Bush and Obama administrations have refused to unseal the documents, claiming its release would jeopardise national security. In later years, the FBI would also refuse to unseal the pages.
“These are tough documents to get your eyes on,” said former Democratic congressman Tim Roemer, who has read the documents numerous times as a member of the Blue Ribbon 9/11 Commission as a member of the joint inquiry.
“You’re going to be surprised by it.”
Many believe the US government censored the pages to “protect the delicate relationship with a complicated kingdom where the rulers, royalty, riches — and religion — are all deeply intertwined in its institutions”.
What is known is that in January, 2000, the first of the 19 hijackers involved in the 9/11 terror plots landed in Los Angeles after attending an al-Qaeda summit in Kuala Lumpur.
Saudi nationals Nawaf al-Hazmi and Khalid al-Mihdar arrived in the US with limited to no experience with the Western world; in particular they knew hardly any English.
Yet remarkably, without an understanding of modern American culture, they managed to secure housing and flight lessons.
They had hooked up with Fahad al Thumairy, a diplomat at the Saudi consulate, who in 2003 was denied re-entry into the United States for holding extremist views.
Phone records reveal he was in regular contact with Omar al-Bayoumi, who was the terrorist’s biggest benefactor.
According to Mr Graham, Mr al-Bayoumi was a Saudi agent, and backed those claims with FBI files.
In a “random” coincidence, the two hijackers met Mr al-Bayoumi in a Middle Eastern restaurant and they fast became friends. Eventually, Mr al-Bayoumi would help secure them housing in San Diego, government IDs and enrol the pair in English classes and flight schools.
Mr al-Bayoumi had ties with Anwar al-Awlaki, an American-born imam who would become al-Qaeda’s chief of propaganda and top operative in Yemen.
Mr al-Awlaki would eventually become five of the hijacker’s spiritual adviser.
It’s this type of sensitive information pointing to Saudi Arabia that is allegedly contained within those 28-pages.
According to 60 Minutes, the 9/11 report says “Saudi Arabia has long been considered the primary source of al-Qaeda funding through its wealthy citizens and charities with significant government sponsorship”.
Yet in the report it states, “we have found no evidence that the Saudi government as an institution or senior Saudi officials individually funded the organisation.”
Though lawyers for the families of the 9/11 victims believe the line is one of the most misunderstood in the report.
“When they say that we’ve found no evidence that senior Saudi officials individually funded al-Qaeda they conspicuously leave open the potential that they’ve found evidence that people who were officials that they did not regard as senior officials had done so,” said lawyer Sean Carter.
The Saudis believe that sentence exonerates them from any wrong doing.
But in the coming months, the world’s eyes might have the chance to finally discover what exactly was so disturbing that the US felt the need to censor the information from public view.... more at link

Saudi Arabia wants US to kill 9/11 bill, threatens to dump US assets worth $750 bn - report
Saudi Arabia appears to be blackmailing the US, saying it would sell off American assets worth a 12-digit figure sum in dollars if Congress passes a bill allowing the Saudi government to be held responsible for the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
The warning was delivered by Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir last month during a visit to Washington, the New York Times reported. He said his country would sell up to $750 billion in US treasury securities and other assets before the bill puts them in jeopardy.
The newspaper said Riyadh's resolve to actually deliver on the threat is dubious, since selling off those assets would be technically challenging and would damage the dollar, against which the Saudi national currency is pegged.
Under the current US law, foreign nations have a degree of immunity from being sued in American courts. The Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act of 1976 is one of the reasons why families of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks largely failed to bring to court the Saudi royal family and charities over suspicion of financially supporting the attacks.
The bill introduced in the Senate would waiver the immunity for cases involving terrorist attacks that kill US citizens on US soil. Introduced by Republican Senator John Cornyn and Democrat Senator Chuck Schumer, it managed to overcome partisan divisions in the US legislation and passed without dissent through the Judiciary Committee in January.
“As our nation confronts new and expanding terror networks that are targeting our citizens, stopping the funding source for terrorists becomes even more important,” Senator Cornyn said last month.
Possible links between the perpetrators of the attack and Saudi Arabia may be hiding in 28 classified pages of the 2002 congressional report on 9/11, which allegedly describe how Saudi Arabian nationals with links to the government financially assisted the 19 hijackers who flew airplanes into World Trade Center and the Pentagon. Many people, including the co-author of the redacted pages, former Florida Senator Bob Graham, have been campaigning for years to make them public.
The Obama administration is opposing the bill, saying it would make foreign nations retaliate by passing similar legislation and target American citizens and corporations in their national courts. Secretary of State John Kerry told a Senate panel in February that the bill, in its current form, would “expose the United States of America to lawsuits and take away our sovereign immunity and create a terrible precedent.”
Ironically, sovereign immunity didn't stop a US judge from last month ordering Iran to pay $10.5 billion in damages to families of the 9/11 victims. The ruling was passed because Iran didn't defend itself against the allegations. These put the blame on Iran over its links with the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah, which, plaintiffs argued, aided Al-Qaeda. The argument is based on the same congressional report, which also said no link between the hijackers and Iran had been found.
None of the 19 hijackers were Iranian citizens. Fifteen were citizens of Saudi Arabia, while two were from the United Arab Emirates, and one each from Egypt and Lebanon....more at link.

Re: The 'secret' 9/11 report on Saudis
Excuse me, but WTF did 9/11 have to do with Iran - beyond, as much as it had to do with Iraq?
IMO, this ALL has to be made public, there's a rotten smell coming from Washington elites, from this to the voting shenanigans in Colorado.
Time to clean the Augean stables.

Quote from long story:
Some information has leaked from the redacted section, including a flurry of pre-9/11 phone calls between one of the hijackers’ Saudi handlers in San Diego and the Saudi Embassy, and the transfer of some $130,000 from then-Saudi Ambassador Prince Bandar’s family checking account to yet another of the hijackers’ Saudi handlers in San Diego.
That PoS Bandar again!

Re: The 'secret' 9/11 report on Saudis
A Saudi reformer with direct knowledge of embassy involvement is more forthcoming.
“We made an ally of a regime that helped sponsor the attacks,” said Ali al-Ahmed of the Washington-based Institute for Gulf Affairs. “I mean, let’s face it.”
And at Saudi's request, invaded Iraq, destroyed Libya and tried to destroy Syria. Oh, and killed hundreds of thousands of people.

http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2016/04/19/donald-trump-reveal-classified-pages-9-11-report-saudi-arabias-role/
GOP frontrunner Donald Trump says the public should see the 28 classified pages within the 9/11 Commission’s report on the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attack.
“I think we should have seen it a long time ago,” the real estate mogul stated during an interview Tuesday on Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends.”
The classified pages allegedly contain a link to Saudi Arabia, according to various media reports.
“I think I know what it’s going to say,” Trump speculated. “It’s going to be very, very profound, having to do with Saudi Arabia and Saudi Arabia’s role on the World Trade Center, and the attack.”
“And you know, I’ve said it for a long time. We attacked Iraq. And frankly by attacking Iraq – they were not the ones who knocked down the World Trade Center,” added Trump, who has long been a critic of President George W. Bush’s decision to invade Iraq. “Now I’ve been saying that for a long time. Let’s see what the papers say … I think they’re going to be finally, at least in some form, released.”
Commenting the rumor that Saudi Arabia may be linked to the attack, Trump said, “You know, It’s sort of nice to know who your friends are, and perhaps who your enemies are.”
“But you’re going to see some very revealing things released in those papers and I look forward to reading them,” he added.
Oh, me too.
