Junker's cure for EU woes? More EU, lol

The drunken madman's esteemed eurocrat's speech is appearing everywhere, but this seems to just about cover it without going off the deep end:

So what is Juncker's solution for all those unhappy EU nations? You guessed it - tighter control:

EU integration cannot be left to the interests of individual member states alone, said Mr Juncker insisting that "too often national interests are brought to the fore" and the EU "still does not have enough Union".

"A year ago I stated that the state of the European Union leaves much to be desired... It still applies," Mr Juncker began. "The scope in which we cooperate together is far too small."



This includes the EU setting up its very own EU army, but the europhile Independent seems to have missed that bit out, strangely enough.

Mr Juncker called for an EU military with its own European headquarters, something the UK had long resisted. He said that the lack of cooperation on military resources was costing EU countries billions.

And he said there must been an acceleration of deeper financial union, another key issue for Brexiters, and doubling the EU investment scheme.



Remember, only a few months ago, Remainers denied all this was planned, along with Turkish membership.

The SNP leader is set to call for the UK to remain in the single market during a speech before a major Holyrood committee today.

The relentless Remainer is going to have her say on Britain’s single market membership before the Scottish Parliament's European and External Relations Committee, which examines the implications of the UK-wide vote to quit the EU for Scotland.

Well, for starters, it means there's no danger of young Scots being conscripted into Juncker's EU army.....

In a series of tweets last night Mr Verhofstadt called for the complete "integration of EU military forces" after Germany and France pushed for closer cooperation between European armies.

Never mind 'dangerous fanatic', why does Verhofstadt always look unwashed and, well, creepy?

It's not just one photo, it's all of them, Lily, he looks unwashed and nasty. And his teeth are horrible, which is unusual these days, especially with people as well-heeled as him.

That is strange - I wonder why he feels he needs to neglect his cleanliness?

With Deutsche Bank mercifully missing from overnight headlines for the first day in almost two weeks, it is time to bring attention to Germany's second largest bank which, as we first reported earlier in the week citing a Handelsblatt leak, confirmed it is also going through a historic rough patch. This morning, Commerzbank said it plans a wide-ranging business restructuring that includes scrapping the bank's dividend for the rest of the year, terminating nearly 10,000 jobs - roughly 20% of its workforce - and merging two large units.

“The focus on the core business, with some business activities being discontinued, and the digitalization and automation of workflows will lead to staff reductions amounting to around 9,600 full-time positions,” Germany’s second-largest lender said....more at link.
