Re: Battles to liberate Mosul and Aleppo from jihadists
The girl on Erdogan's knee is none other than Bana, the child tweeter, whose internet was totally unaffected by the onslaught on eastern Aleppo. The second woman is her mother; I note there's no sign of her father - possibly he's too busy shaving his jihadist beard off.
I don't know the identities of the other children, or the man. They're possibly other children that have been used in stunts, because it became clear that, whoever it was that was doing the tweeting, it wasn't a seven year old girl.

Oh, right, another of these 'fake' thingies, I have vaguely seen something about a girl tweeting from Aleppo but wasn't really interested. I am more worried about articulated lorries and Christmas markets, to be honest. LL

Re: Battles to liberate Mosul and Aleppo from jihadists
Understandably, LL.
The whole business in Syria, particularly eastern Aleppo, is a complete mess, and those who have been responsible for all the Fake News, and faked propaganda, should hang their heads in shame.
The situation was horrible enough for the civilians trapped in the east, being shot by the rebels if they tried to escape, while bombs rained down, without outright lies being told. Bana's father is high up in Al Nusrah, or whatever they're calling themselves today, the very people that were stealing any food and aid that reached eastern Aleppo, intended for civilians.
It's not the child's fault, any more than the suicide attack on the police station was the fault of that poor little girl, they've just been used.

Re: Battles to liberate Mosul and Aleppo from jihadists
It's ridiculous, Lily. The eastern enclave of Aleppo is undeniably in a mess, but the western area is as attractive as ever - despite the 'brave rebels' bombarding it with home-made hellfire missiles, and killing many civilians.
Strangely, that isn't mentioned by the Western MSM.
Neither is the fact that the 'brave rebels' have been destroying buildings in the east that they didn't like, by undermining them and blowing them up.
It disgusts me. What has happened is quite dreadful enough, without so many blatant lies being told for political reasons.
Just in case anyone has forgotten why Qatar and the Saudis have been hellbent on toppling Assad, and to Hell with the consequences.

Re: Battles to liberate Mosul and Aleppo from jihadists

In October, the Chicago Tribune ran a story covering #StandWithAleppo, a popular twitter handle and hashtag created by "two Chicago moms" looking to document the plight of children in besieged E. Aleppo. But as some observant social media users have since discovered, one of the women turned out to be a journalist, the other the head of a SuperPAC.
In the run-up to eastern Aleppo's liberation by the Syrian army last week, #StandWithAleppo was turned into an extremely popular Twitter hashtag, users joining the Western mainstream media in condemning the Syrian government and accusing it of committing war crimes in the city. In spite of numerous stories, photos and video materials by alternative media showing that the city's residents were actually mostly relieved by their liberation, the hashtag has effectively become a rallying cry for the anti-Assad, anti-Russian narrative pushed by the mainstream media and Western governments. But as one very observant Twitter user searching for the origin story behind the viral #StandWithAleppo campaign has since discovered, Becky Carroll and Wendy Widom, the "two ordinary moms" who launched the campaign, are anything but ordinary.

The Chicago Tribune, which interviewed the two women in October, described Carroll as a strategic affairs consultant who "decided it was time to do something" to help the suffering people of the city.
But there's a twist. According to her website, Carroll runs C-Strategies LLC, a Chicago-based consulting firm with extensive experience in the public sector. In fact, the site's 'about us' section says Carrol was the National Director of the Women for Obama Campaign during his 2008 presidential campaign, and later served as CEO of Chicago Forward, a Super PAC that raised millions of dollars for Chicago Mayor and former Obama White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel's mayoral reelection campaign. As for Wendy Widom, she's a self-described social media editor for CBS Chicago, part of a broadcast television network whose recent coverage of the situation in Aleppo features the kinds of bias to be expected from mainstream media sources.
In other words, a basic investigation of the women and their job descriptions shows that these 'ordinary moms' are actually political and media veterans contributing to spinning the msm narrative regarding the Syrian war, including the situation in Aleppo.

Re: Battles to liberate Mosul and Aleppo from jihadists

A woman in Germany says she has been so angered at the reports of civilian deaths in Syria that she is organising a march from Berlin to Aleppo to try to bring an end to the war.
Anna Alboth said she could no longer sit and watch news reports without taking action herself.
So she is organising the Civil March for Aleppo, a 3,400km (2,100-mile) walk that will retrace the footsteps of refugees who managed to escape the war in Syria and make to the safety of Germany.
The journalist, who has already welcomed a Syrian refugee into her own home, said the bombing of hospitals in Aleppo had brought matters to a head for her.
Anna Alboth says the walk to Aleppo is a chance to bring change
"I was having dinner with Syrian women I know in a refugee centre and they were showing me photos of a lot of people who had died," said Mrs Alboth.
"People like me in safe countries can't take it any more, and we see this as a chance to transform things.
"Refugees who hear about it say that if we are willing to give up our comfortable lives to do this, then it is a real demonstration."
Since Mrs Alboth launched the #CivilMarchForAleppo, around 2,500 people have pledged to join her for the entire journey.
She is hoping that will build to about 5,000, with others joining for a few hours or a day in different locations along the walk.
Less time do-gooding and more time reading history would be a wise idea. In particular, the Children's Crusade...

ISIS will make short work of those soft moonbat fools. If they even get as far as Syria unscathed, which is highly unlikely.

Yes, that should really help them when they bump into Al Nusrah and ISIS. I don't give much for their chances of even getting through the wilder parts of Turkey unscathed.
Darwinism at its finest.
