Thanks, LL - I freely admit the Jackson trial has rather passed me by. It will be interesting to see what a jury makes of it all.

Re: MICHAEL JACKSON TRIAL
I haven't paid too much attention, to be honest, but I think the Doc will be sent away for a while.

CNN have promised a live broadcast as the verdict is announced. They are saying in approx an hour, but at exactly which hour I don't know. LLbb1 wrote:Thanks, LL - I freely admit the Jackson trial has rather passed me by. It will be interesting to see what a jury makes of it all.

I wish the judge would go into the court so the verdict can be announced.

Re: MICHAEL JACKSON TRIAL
I have just glanced at the headlines, but it all seems so confusing, and he isn't charged with murder or anything, so I tend to agree from what I have seen of it, Sabot.
I get the impression that no-one was actually bothering about Michael Jackson's welfare - nobody.

Re: MICHAEL JACKSON TRIAL
Ah well, I should have paid more attention to the trial.
PS - I HATE Sky's new banner at the bottom of the page, I find it beyond irritating - it draws the eye down when you actually want to read what is at the top of the page.

Re: MICHAEL JACKSON TRIAL
I'm surprised he live for as long as he did. If it hadn't been this Doctor it would have been another one.
And I don't think that Michael Jackson was a bad man. But although I believe that he had a shitty childhood, I don't believe that this was responsible for his over indulgence in Drugs. If that were the case then I would be a Crack Head. There was something else missing in Michael Jackson.

Oh well, there you go. And I was wrong about Vincent Tabak as well. I guess I tend to live behind rose tinted spectacles when it comes to people.
Although you might think I would have been disabused of that by now.

If this hadn't been Michael Jackson, I don't believe he would have been found guilty Lily!
What annoys me, is all the family think about is Michael's money. They were never there for him when he needed them most.

I believe you are right, Maggs. His family sure did do very well out of him. It was his parents who pushed for this.
He was really sweet. Very childlike and kind. Always spoke in a gentle manner. So very talented, and I believe he was so misunderstood by many.

Re: MICHAEL JACKSON TRIAL
I suspect Murray has been made a scapegoat for the failings of everyone else who was around Jackson in the days before his death.

Re: MICHAEL JACKSON TRIAL
Sorry but, I believe the correct verdict was reached. Part of a doctors Hippocratic oath is, 'First Do No Harm'. He should never had Propofol anywhere near Jackson knowing the drugs he was already taking. And, he should never have left Jackson alone after administrating the drug to him. It doesn't matter what other doctors did, Murray was the one that was there. He had a choice, he made the wrong one, and Jackson is dead.

I haven't been following it closely, Tony, I just got the impression that Jackson's final days were chaotic all round?

Re: MICHAEL JACKSON TRIAL
Apologies, Tony. He should not have left him alone, I do agree there.
There were too many vultures around MJ but no one could say NO to him. That becomes a huge problem when dealing with mega stars. I'm definitely not saying it's right, but that is a hazard of working for people like that. That's why it's called Hollyweird.

Re: MICHAEL JACKSON TRIAL
From Sky:
In a police interview, the doctor also mentioned other medical conditions that his patient was dealing with.
He said it would take the singer "hours" to urinate for which he had been prescribed the drug Flomax, and that his body was covered in injection scars.
He also revealed that Jackson had a severe fungal infection in his toenails and had arranged for the removal of painful calluses on his feet that made it difficult to dance.
The doctor added that the singer did not eat or drink, and had very bad eyesight - so bad in fact the "he could be legally blind".
Poor sod, what a way to live - that is a list of ailments you would expect to see from someone in their eighties.
