Telegraph announces 20% of hospitals will close wards.

Following an interesting comment last night that a major "Tory" newspaper will no longer respond to phone calls from the Prime Minister the Telegraph has a damming front page for its Saturday edition.

Pity the government just threw away countless millions over the west coast train line, isn't it?
Think of the hospital wards that could have kept open.

Definitely. And wards in my opinion are more important than the thousands of new managers who will be needed to operate the farcical semi-privatised profit grabbing system that they are introducing by force.

In London there are currently 9 emergency departments for upwards of 7 million people. The current proposals are that the number should be reduced to 5. But that is simply re-organisation as it cannot be a cut since the government ring fenced the NHS.

That is absolutely terrifying. I genuinely cannot remember a more horrible, incompetent and nasty Westminster government.
