Very true; and they do seem to be increasingly desperate. At one level, it's amusing to see them frantically spamming ancient, discredited, Portuguese tabloid inventions about non-existent 'emails' without bothering to wonder why there isn't a word about them in the police files.

But at another, more serious, level, their desperation for a missing child to be dead turns decent people's stomaches. And they wonder why they are called HATERS.

I was told by a detective on the case that (apart from Andy Redwood interviews) they are keeping "under the radar" and therefore highly unlikely to release details, particularly (and cooincidently) about a couple that stand to 'gain' from the publicity.

It's odd, the way the McCann-haters don't want people to know what Hewlett looked like at the time of Madeleine's abduction - they are desperate for everyone to think he was a frail invalid.

Well, he wasn't:



He was anything but frail when that was taken in Morocco in July 2007. His long hair's tied back, and he is clearly more than able to carry off a three year old child.

So, why don't the McCann-haters want people to see the truth about the scumbag?

You have to wonder what they're trying to hide, to go to such lengths over a piece of merde like Hewlett.

I think it is a bit more serious than that they are wrong, Lily. Some of them started in from day one. They desperately wanted that poor child dead at the hands of her parents right from the beginning, and a good bit before The PJ started leaking and manipulating.
I don't really understand why. Although I do understand why Amaral needed it to be so. But why would ordinary everyday Brits want such a thing? Was it because both of The McCanns were Doctors? Was it the fairly upmarket house? Was it the holiday in Portugal? Was it just plain jealousy? Are there people in Britain who resent these things for no other reason than that they don't have them? If so, then it defeats me.

THE prime suspect in the Madeleine McCann abduction was secretly filmed working at a market in Portugal.
Moving images were covertly shot of the man and shown to key witness Gail Cooper by an investigator working for Kate and Gerry McCann two years ago.
The man was filmed unloading what looked like linen from a clean white van at an “inland” travelling market.

Mrs Cooper, 53, today tells the Sunday Express the man captured on film was the same person she saw three times in Praia da Luz on the Algarve, just days before Madeleine was snatched.
Mrs Cooper is the key witness in the case because she
had a tense 15-minute conversation with the suspect before Madeleine vanished from the Mark Warner Ocean Club in Luz on May 3, 2007.
Today, Mrs Cooper calls on the McCanns to put the sensational footage on their website findmadeleine.com so he can be traced by detectives.
“I believe the man I saw was the same person who abducted Madeleine McCann,” said Mrs Cooper, who was flown back to Luz last week by the Sunday Express in an attempt to unlock the mystery.
“More people need to see this footage to discover where he is.”
Mrs Cooper is the woman who created, with an FBI-trained police artist working for the McCanns, a haunting sketch of the man with a distinctive handlebar moustache and protruding front teeth.
That powerful image was used in high-profile press campaigns by the McCanns in an effort to locate him.

He bears an uncanny resemblance to the man the McCanns’ friend Jane Tanner saw carrying a small child in his arms and walking away from the holiday apartment on the night Madeleine vanished.
Mrs Cooper, from Newark, Notts, said in the summer of 2008 she was asked to look at footage of the suspect shot over several days in Portugal.
“He was unloading his market stall from a white van,” said Mrs Cooper.
"His hair was lighter and he had shaved off the moustache but to my mind it was the same man. For me the giveaway was his protruding teeth, which were exactly the same as the man I had met in Luz.
"I was shown the footage by a person working for the McCanns’ investigators who took notes of everything I said and then left but I haven’t heard anything since. I asked where the film was shot but he would only say it was shot ‘inland’ in Portugal.”
Last week the McCanns, from Rothley, Leics, appeared on GMTV calling for a review of all the evidence.
Heart specialist Mr McCann, 41, said: “I don’t think it’s right that, as parents, we have to drive the search.”

His hair could have been dirty, wet, anything when she saw him, but IMO, this is all too much of a remarkable coincidence NOT to be taken seriously.

And the determination of the McCann-haters to claim that a convicted child abductor and sex offender couldn't possibly have anything to do with the disappearance of a child when he was in the area only makes it MORE suspicious.

Don't know what to say, really. I always have thought that Hewlett looked like that photofit of a man seen in Luz. Hands in pockets, and the walk.
I believe that after he refused to sell his own daughter, he then went looking for another blond girl child of the same age.
I suspect that whoever wanted to buy his daughter will have said that it was for a family, and a better life for the child, and they will hardly have approached him to sell his child to paedophiles, so it is in fact likely that they were looking for a child for a family.
But of course, you would need to believe that they were telling the truth, which they could well have been doing. But I doubt that he was half daft.
"Excuse me, would you like to give one of your children a better life?" So they must have offered some proof that it was a genuine family that wanted a child. He could well have seriously smacked them in the mouth otherwise. I doubt that even he would have contemplated selling his very young daughter to any passing stranger for paedophiles. And then there was always the child's mother.
If you see what I am getting at.

It does, however, cause suspicion when the McCann-haters go to such lengths to protect and defend the vile thing - what's that about? Nothing good, for sure.

And as for the creature who described raping children as 'colourful' - well, what does that tell you about the creature?
